Agree with the pippen pick. I debated between Dirk and Ewing, but Pippen was right behind them.

I wouldn't have made it, but I don't mind the Nash pick too much.

BTW, can we now talk about how Payton > Kidd?

And "The Small Forward" is Pippen, not Dominique. Taking Nique over Pippen is bizarre.

We'll be playing zone for his 35 minutes/game.

Hey, mmmbtone, you know this pick from the player at age 24, so his age relative to Kidd right now doesn't matter.

this really isnt even close. isiah versus payton is the better debate. gp was unbelievable.

kidd isn't very good. i think i'd even rather have iverson.

He's taking the "draft all late peaks" strategy to own the league from year 5-10 when all our pathetic early peak teams start declining in year 4.

You know that means Kidd starts at 24 too, right?

Of the picks so far:

TD too low.
CP3 a little high.
KM low.
Isiah high.
Dirk high.
Ewing low.
Drexler wtf.
Nique too high.
Pippen low.

Ok, I see your point now.

seriously I think Payton is the best value pick after the rather obvious top 10ers. assfags

Gary Payton is an incredibly good pick. 9 straight years of 19.6+ PER ball along with being "the glove." He's significantly better than Jason Kidd.
he also happens to be better then Isiah Thomas. GP is another guy who likely should've gone a few picks ago.

I had Payton ahead of Kidd and Thomas (blasphemy?)
not at all, i did too

GP too low to me to. It was either him or Howard at 17 for me.

Isiah is still the worst pick of this draft

The problem with taking a swing player this early is there are so many good ones imo. This is pretty obvious and shouldn't change things I hope. Other than MJ and Bird if you consider him a 3, I would really have to make a stretch to pick a 2/3. Probally KB/LBJ too, but after that.....idk.

Is it safe to assume that a player who ran the triangle (i.e. Pippen) is capable of playing in most any offense?
