Pip is the kindve player that everyone wanst to be like - but no one can replicate. He does everything - and does everything well. Im not sure about how he would serve as the corner stone of a team - but nonetheless...I thnk he was the best player available...now it all depends on who you surround him with from here on out. (which is the case for all of us - but moreso with picking a guy like Pip first..as he doesnt truly defiene your teams identity - rather morphs around it...and makes it run smoother and more effieciently)

Scottie is an insanely good pickup for 25 IMO

If I hadn't taken Patrick, I would've taken Pippen.

Pippen is especially valuable in this format I think. Almsot every team is going to have a very offensively gifted 2 or 3, so having an elite perimeter defender is key. And people have already discussed the scarcity of great pass-first point guards, making point forward types very very useful. Excellent (if not very difficult) pick.

And Payton would've been next up. Good picks the last two IMO.

Pippen probably benefits more from this format than any other player.

Gary Payton is an incredibly good pick. 9 straight years of 19.6+ PER ball along with being "the glove." He's significantly better than Jason Kidd.

follow the format:

Quote:
Round #3/Pick #21: Player X

I chose Player X because........

Team so far: Player X, Player Y, Player Z
you dont put any info - and on top of that - you put a link to wikipedia?

edit: and you should PM the next guy who picks after you.

I had Payton ahead of Kidd and Thomas (blasphemy?).

Damn, I was hoping against hope that either one of those two fell to me. Now I have no clue who I'm taking, maybe there is someone obvious I'm not remembering, but those two were 1a and 1b for good reasons.

BTW I think Pip & Glove were awesome picks at 25 & 26 (I was wondering today how far GP might slip under the radar).

Agreed, this was an awesome idea. Only 343 more picks to go...

If somehow, the draft could've been done in a couple days, I think it would've been even more awesome. But again, great idea, Assani.

Yeah. At #17 my board was 1. Ewing, 2. Pippen 3. Payton 4. McHale

Payton was a ****ing steal. Probably my favorite non-Celtic (minus that one year) non-Sheed player of all time

You saved me from it, I was going to hate myself for it too, but whatever, now I can't. In a league like this, what's Nash's stat line going to be, 15 assists a game, 45 points a game by the guy he ends up guarding?
