Okay let me rephrase my question: What reason does one need to bring someone up? I am not trying to troll. I just want to partake in the discussion of as yet unselected players as others have done, without anybody getting up in arms about it. That is all.

You can only bring players up if you're clearly joking or super sneaky about it.

For example, here are two answers to the question "Who should be selected next?" that posters in this thread have been finding acceptible:

ZOMG ANDREW BOGUT AMIRITE?? HAHA I'M SO CLEVER

or,

A SMALL FORWARD WHOSE NAME RHYMED WITH BOMINIQUE WILKINS HAHA I'M SO CLEVER

The joke of naming crap players is harmless but getting old pretty fast.

I've said all along to not discuss anyone who hasn't been drafted, and all along people have A. Told me its a stupid rule, B. Outright broken the rule, C. Mocked the rule, and D. Described the player instead of naming him as if that actually matters. So whatever...I can't really enforce it. Not like I"m gonna kick people out or anything for breaking a small rule. But if you're asking what the rule is then thats what it is.

I like the idea of just not naming any undrafted players, and it would be really awesome if people would just abide by it without trying to dodge it.

nah, this would be more entertaining with a mel kiper jr predicting the next picks IMO. I'm just interested to see where probably my favorite player (post 1989 rookie) gets drafted in this. I'm predicting early second round, but hoping someone shows him the love earlier (though it's not necessary in a snake draft).

(Anyone who guesses the player based on this vague description is a genius)

its a little annoying IMO that people who never have posted in this thread or really have no posts at all have picks. they are slowing it down and are somewhat unnecessary. not that they CANT be a good addition, it's just they HAVENT been.

for some reason i always thought SF#2 was actually a SG and he really shoudlnt go ahead of some of the current SGs who are very injury prone yet amazing players. (cough cough)

I agree, I should have elaborated a little more.

Barkley over malone is just ******ed, when malone was just as good if not better on offense as chuck and a much better defender, shooter, team player.

The bolded part is just flat out wrong, and since you're fond of insulting people I'll even say that its ******ed.

FG%
Barkley: 54.1%
Malone: 51.6%

eFG%
Barkley: 55.8%
Malone: 51.8%

TS%
Barkley: 61.2%(7th highest of all time)
Malone: 57.7%

Barkley was loads more efficient, and thats not even taking into account that Stockton obviously helped Malone get more open shots and layups.

Barkley was a better passer(3.9 assists vs 3.1 assists) and rebounder(11.7 rebounds vs 10.1 rebounds).

Barkley has a higher career PER.

Barkley twice led the league in offensive rating, and his career offensive rating of 119.3 is the 7th highest of all time. Malone never had one season with an offensive rating above 117.8.

How about instead of just looking at points per game and then calling people ******ed, you actually research the matter before offering opinions?

Also wtf does "better team player" even mean? Barkley had more assists and shot the ball less than Malone.

I do agree that this waiting sucks, but I think the subsequent rounds will go much quicker. We just ahve to get rid of the people who aren't going to show up first.

Undervalued imo.

The only knock on Barkley is that the new breed of mid-range shooting PFs might have an easier time with him. I said it earlier, but I'm not quite sold on that theory, especially given Chuck's freakishly long arms. I'd also prefer chuck in clutch situations and on late game iso's. I don't even recall Malone having the ability to create, and distinctly recall the Chuck vs. Admiral iso shot to clinch a playoff series.
