EDIT: Sega sucks too, way too easy to goaltend on 3's and one side is easier than the other to do it on (forgot which side)
Oh wow, I remember this. Made the game super gay.

i basically think iggy does a lot of the things that help win ball games. I think melo does the things that earn big contracts. But I do agree Melo had an excellent year and if he keeps it up his game will actually meet people's perception of it.

The only possible argument I can see for Isiah>Stockton is that Malone helped Stockton a ton.

LaPoker, care to invite your sources to post here?

benjamin is like #1 lazy pos of all time. i'm trying to think of anyone close and i can't. just worthless. came to play like 2 of every 5 games. was in pretty bad shape etc.

wrt these guys liking isiah more than stockton - i gave them no other stipulations like you will be able to surround him with good players (the way this draft works) etc. just who do you take and they may have been thinking about it in a "if you are starting a franchise" way, because the one thing they all said was "isiah could get his own" which makes some sense to me in the context.

and yeah they are all in love with odom for whatever reason. some of it has to do with marion being "soft". someone also said he thought marion couldn't play halfcourt d and would be somewhat exposed for that in the eastern conference. for the record i would obviously take marion - i was shocked with how definitive they were about this though.

It will cost u guys a good amount of money, my services aren't cheap.

I will agree to do a youtube video of me breaking down a game for 2k, and you can get a package of 5 games for 8k (2k discount).

As for the NBA insider, I would love to argue with Screaming A Smith since he is the smartest basketball expert known to man, i'd do that for free since I could def learn a ton about the game from him.

Victor you can also save 1k off the 5 game package (you can get it for 7k) as long as you promise to stop complaining about the ref's for just one game when the Cavs play.

so with that as a lead in. today i was with some nba "insiders" and with this draft as the catalyst i asked them to pick between two players as if they were owners and they would be getting either guy for his whole career. some are not surprising but some are very - i don't agree with a few of them too.

anyway i thought it would be interesting to share. so according to my "experts":

dampier>benoit - on this one they all laughed first and then answered - they thought it was pretty close though.

igoudala>melo

brand>boozer

paul>deron

isiah>paul

isiah>stockton

dumars and KJ - split vote

ok here is the WTF one. and they brought it up not me.

in a unanimous decision they told me that odom>marion.
This is why so many teams are run poorly. Your insiders are ****ing ******s.

Isiah over Paul is insanity. Isiah over Stockton is insanity. Who cares Melo or Iggy??? Odom > Marion in what universe? Just L-O-L.

I posted a question the other day about where you would rank the injury prone guys overall if we assumed that every player drafted would get 10 healthy years....havn't heard any responses yet, but I'm really interested....wondering where Hill/Penny/Moncrief/etc. would go in that format.

Didn't you come in last place in our fantasy bball league last year bobbo? You and lap had a team together too and he blamed it all on u in the Celtics v Lakers thread. I mean I missed more than half the draft and I still finished in like 6th I think and stupid autopick gave me Ray Allen in the 2nd round over either Howard or Big Al and Bibby in the 5th round who was already injured.

Well I still keep the top 9 the same way.

Then the next 10 is pretty interesting: Kobe, T-Mac, Hill, Penny, some PGs (CP3, Stockton), some big men (Malone, McHale, Dirk, Ewing, D12). No particular order there, that would just be my next 10.

For my team, Kemp would probably go like late 30's. Sabonis would probably go maybe mid-late 2nd round. Could be higher if you assume that by healthy you mean not playing 25 mpg. Doc would probably be a 2nd/3rd round pick too.

Considering neither of us checked the league for more then half of the season, I'm willing to chalk up us losing to lethargy. my initial draft was actually pretty good... got kobe in the first!

Sportscenter did a top 10 draft busts today and Tarpley made the list, lol...made me think of this thread.

Also a question...and yes I'm going to mention an undrafted player, but theres no way he gets drafted imo...Marcus Fizer was on the list, and I remember him being a beast in college. But I never really remember why he failed so much in the NBA...what exactly happened? Was his lack of height just too much to overcome?

i would love to chip in for a 5 game epeen game film package.

and yeah i had zero to do with the fantasy team, bobbo - when taking a break from laughing at the ineptitude of others (?) - can confirm that was all his genius. i didn't even know who was on our team.

Can you elaborate any? It's funny Assani mentioned Fizer because I remember being convinced that he was going to be a stud in the NBA. Seemed to dominate at Iowa State and basically carried them to a top 5-10 season his JR year. Then he got to the NBA seemed to play alright for a little while and just disappeared.

edit: I see on his Wiki that the Bulls drafted him fourth overall while they already had Elton Brand (wtf? lol) so I wonder if that hurt him a bit. His #s his JR year in college were 23 and 8 to go along with 58% from the field. Then he gets to the NBA and shoots 43% for his career as a PF. Weird.
