Round #7 / Pick 243 - Rodney Rogers

Pretty much the consummate 6th man, winning the sixth man of the year award in 2000. Adds a reliable level of mid-range jump shooting to my team, and isn't a bad 3 pt shooter either at a career 34.9%. Yes, his rebounding leaves much to be desired for a guy his size, but I'm hoping to use him in more of a pick-and-roll role, so that shouldn't be such an issue on the offensive end.

Luckily, what he lacks in defensive rebounding he makes up for with solid defense. D-ratings of 99, 98, 104, 97 and 96 as a 28 to 32 year old, and double digit win shares in the 2000 and 2001 seasons, despite playing less than 28 minutes per game.

His W/L shares are a pretty terrible early on in his career, but then you notice that he was on the mid-nineties Nuggets and Clippers. As soon as he moved to Phoenix as a 28 year old his ratio shot up in respectability.

My team
Steve Nash
Manu Ginobili
Anthony Mason
Doug Christie
Christian Laettner
Josh Childress
Rodney Rogers

You missed the point. I play maybe 3 or 4 MTTs at a time, so I can watch TV, talk on AIm, and surf the net(usually this thread lately) while I play. Its completely relaxed and stress free. I never feel like I'm working. Or I'll go play $10/20 at the Wynn(or higher if its running) and drink a ton and socialize with everyone there. Pretty much, I never feel like I'm working when I play poker. I've multitabled huge number of tables before like you, and that feels like work to me. Its not stress free and its definitely not relaxing.

what epeen doesnt understand is that playing long hours is a skill. as is table selection. in the end, the player who makes the most is the best.

Here's my favorite memory of Rodney Rodgers. Pretty sure the Nugs ended up losing that game, but that was such an awesome comeback.

I'm not sure I get why you think he was a bad rebounder, though, as 6.4/36 is not bad for a small forward. Overall I think it's a nice solid pick who def will not hurt your team, and that's what's most important at this stage imo.

Winner.

I played 24 tables this year on leap day on stars, and if I had to do that all year long I would hate life.

I would much rather make 80% less money than have to do that. Its like having an 8 hour day job but putting in 14 hour days for 6 days a week. Sure you will make more money, but what is the reason we want to make money in the first place ?

Not to mention, if we just want to compare poker skill then shouldn't we compare hourly PER TABLE rate and not just hourly rate?

We work more so we can do more coke so we can work more so we can do more coke. Obviously you weren't around in the 80s.

Nah that's not really fair. Everybody knows that by multitabling, particularly megamultitabling like this, you're trading some efficiency for volume as a matter of course. The guy earlier said it best - it's all about the D-O-E.

Swelling's gone down considerably, though ironically (to me anyway), the tenderness / discomfort have increased concurrently. I can't really afford to stay off of it - Nationals are in two weeks and I'm too fat and too underpracticed as it is. All in all it's fine.
