Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

I will add that while I don't mind the pick, I don't think it was worth trading up for. But that may be unfair for me to say as maybe hes the only guy you thought could fill the role on your team and you didn't want to miss out.

Like I said I thought there was a good chance either GKA or tbach would have taken him before me, and there was 1 other guy who filled the role like Perkins but he was undersized and I needed Perkins to matchup vs bigger centers.

man, this totally ruins my idea of filling out the rest of my team with overrated Celtics backups/fringe starters in order to make my team greatest ever ldo with all the Celtics homers in this draft.

Kinda like how you Celtic haters all thought the 15:1 odds I gave of the Celtics winning the title right before this season was laughable and was muchhhhhhhh worse than that right?

Or was it about how the Lakers were the much better team and would win (and some even said the Pistons)?

Or was it how you said we were overrating Al Jefferson in our N2 league before this year and how Luol Deng was much better?

I don't like to brag but I can't keep quiet when you, sharky and others keep calling me out...

Of course i've said stuff wrong, however i'm not wrong nearly as much as most of the people in this thread. Also, I am def smarter than most of the people in this thread as well. I also probably have more money that I earned off poker (obv not a trustfund baby) than almost everyone posting in this thread as well.

Infact if you guys were in my position, you'd probably be bragging way more than I do.

/end brag

you really overexaggerate this, and I wasn't one of the few people who did this

You guys made Al Jeff out to be an MVP candidate and a lock to be a top 10 player in the league for years to come? He is yet to do either of these, and its incredibly unlikely he does at any point over the next few years. I think its fair to say he was overrated. The Deng vs Jefferson thing would have been close if the Bulls didn't completely fall apart this year, which virtually no one predicted. Especially considering Deng was the better player in 06-07.

Btw, big shocker that in a fantasy league I'm gonna try to argue that player on my team is better than player not on my team of similar value. At least I don't do it to the ridiculous extent you do saying **** like Boozer is barely worth more than the 9th pick in the rookie draft this year.

Really get a life or maybe some friends. I hope you talk like this to them as well. Your really not that smart in comparison to most people on this board you just think you are.

I never made him out to be that, I said he was a very good player and easily a top 20 player in fantasy. And I disagree that Deng was the better player in 06-07, especially in fantasy.

When the heck did I ever say Boozer was barley worth more than the 9th pick in the rookie draft this year?

I do have friends (infact i'm going out in 20 minutes). They just all happen to have jobs and work during the day so there is usually not much to do (hence why I almost never post here at night because I hang out with them at night, especially on the weekends).

Made over 100k this year so far and like roughly 250k last year. I also play way less than I should (like 10-15 hours per week)

I play 5/10, 3/6 and 2/4 full ring (24 tables)

Do you repeatedly tell your friends how much smarter you are then them? Or tell that your so great at poker like anyone gives a crap. This is a basketball thread yet some how you derail it to you being smarter than everyone and you making more money then everyone like that's what were talking about.

Well I forgot that Big Al played limited minutes at the start of the year and only ended up with 33 mpg and played much better in the 2nd half when Doc finally realized to play him (he scored over 20 ppg in the 2nd half of that year).

So you might be right that Deng was better overall in 06-07 cause he got minutes from the start (ended up with 37 to Al's 33) but Al def outperformed him 2nd half of the year when he blew up, and was def the better player going into that season and the future.

No my friends are pretty smart in general and I only tell people how smart I am when I get called out (notice how you haven't heard me brag all thread long really).

And I had to derail it cause u guys keep calling me out, it's like if you were a movie star and rich and someone kept calling u out for being broke and rich, wtf would u say, would u continue to ignore it?

I don't think i'm amazing by any stretch, but like I said I def am more successful than mostly everyone in this thread, and am def smarter as well. I def enjoy life more as well.

Disagree on both accounts, I only know of 2 players who are possibly more successful than I am in this thread (Bobbo and Tbach) and I don't even know if they are. I also disagree that many more are more succesful than I am, and if they are it's probably because a) they are older hence had more time to make money or b) they were born into a rich family and didn't have to earn it themselves

Regardless I don't want to sidetrack this, I just was sick of getting called out a ton.

I pointed out that you act like you never say anything wrong then you derail to saying how smart you are and how much money you make like that proves that you say nothing wrong.
