Yeah I don't have that small man who can run the break, yet. Elden was pretty good in his early years, but slowed down as age set in. I think that drafting a fast-paced PG is going to be pretty crucial down the line.

But for now, I really like the idea of having a versatile lineup that will create offensive mismatches whilst making it very hard for opponents to bring in an offensive set that we can't counter.

Plus I like the idea of putting Horny, Bobby Phills, KG, Elden, and Laimbeer on the floor together at the same time. Talk about size!

Ahhh, the last of the draftable Fab 5. Unless someone goes crazy and take Jimmy King.

Jalen is a fine pick at this point.

I was looking at Jalen, only problem is he didn't do much at 24-26, and got really strong at 27-30. He was really good on some of those Indy teams.

Okay so he doesn't come out like gang busters his first couple years in the imaginary league. That's fine. You know from his production in his actual NBA career that the talent is there though. We are building franchises not just an all-time 24-27 year old team.

I understand that, but he got drafted at 22 and started to play well at 27, just a comment on why I didn't take him not that he's horrible or anything. I would have loved to draft him next round, guess I thought he wasn't as great.

I looked at him, but he's another guy that had a great reputation, but his actual abilities were quite far behind said reputation. I mean, he could shoot, but so can so many players picked around him that also manage to do *other* things. I liked him because he was a ROY so he gets a fast start in this league, but that was as a 22yr old so it's essentially wiped clean. Going back to shooting-he was a .530 TS, .362 3pt, and got to the line just over twice a game, so I'm not even sure he's an elite threat as a shooter/scorer. His defense also certainly hurts you, since for his size as a 3 he's a below average rebounder and forces so few TOs (.7 spg). I understand duplicating guys like Rip and Cummings for sake of consistantcy, but I'm not sure if it will work.

Herb Williams
I remember Herb because IIRC he was my first basketball card ever. (Never got too many of them, but he was the first!) To me he's the type of guy that is not *quite* a dime-a-dozen, but would've been around for another round. He's a decent defender but by no means great, his success was def. a by-product of playing with guys like Ewing. In fact, his defense *improved* considerably in his later years... When he was a Knick. Alex, I love your team, but I don't like Herb for your team if that makes sense. Herb can't run the floor, can't finish or create a shot, and wasn't even a great "scrapper" type. (6.2% ORB/1.5 ORBG is very average) I'm very "meh" on this one.

Elden Campbell
I really like Elden Campbell. Not because he's goofy (like D102 ) but because he's a fine player. I remember him on the Hornets when they were pretty good - such a strong defensive force. Someone compared Herb to Elden, and the difference is actually quite severe. One is an above average defender, the other is borderline elite. Double checking rebounds though, it's shocking Elden @ 6'11 only grabbed 8.5 a game per 36. Even still, I like him in your big rotation, especially as you don't need scoring out of him.

Kyle Korver
Well, I'm pre-disposed to liking Korver since I'm a big Jazz guy, and I watched him play a ton of games. Your writeup is very correct. One key thing is his entire offensive repotoire is based on off-ball movement/coming off screens/having a PG create (drive and dish) for him. Is Porter capable of doing that role? If so, Korver becomes more valuable. If not, you get the worst parts of him: A below average rebounder for a 3, a below average passer, an OK defender, etc. Most of his strengths are things that he doesn't get to showcase often (like his great FT ability). I like your wing rotation though, and I think Korver went around where he "should" go.

Jalen Rose
I liked Jalen as a player but don't like him as an analyst, so he loses some point there imo. Another guy that before looking at stats I thought was amazing, but after double checking figures, realized he wasn't as good as I initially believed. Nice job even listing your team with the writeup too, imo.
