pluto can def get sappy. but he generally makes good points about what directions to take teams and isnt a holier than thou egotistical ***.

I can link a lot more if you like. Basically all I was trying to do was pre-emptively quell all the "he was a head case" retorts.

Since you've probably seen him the most, what do you think of Bobby Phills? I only know of the playoff games, and he wasn't necessarily talked about all that much, usually as their "defensive specialist." When I saw his actual stats, particularly his assist totals, I was a bit surprised.

That and those unis were god awful.

I'm on the clock right? Pick within 30 mins. Still debating between a couple guys
I was definitely taking Lee if he fell to me, I think Bobbo was going to take him before me anyway though. Good pick imo, not too soon at all either imo.

Lookin at his roland rating and related numbers, its not Lee's fault at all.

oh and i was def takin lee

Round 6 Pick 227

PF- Joe Smith

With this pick I have selected the only player every to cost the Minnesota Timberwolves some draft picks due to GM Jesus McHale. Because Jesus McHale wanted Joe Smith so badly, that means he must be really really really really really good. In all seriousness Joe Smith provides a solid low post threat that can hit the open 15 footer. This gives me a solid PF rotation w/ Juwan (some would say money stealer) Howard. Despite his injuries he seems to have played a fair deal and at age 32 showed some versatility with the added improvement in his midrange game. He is also an above average player on the offensive glass which can come in handy when J-Smoove jacks up some crazy ass shots. He will get his share of putbacks and no doubt will be effective in a limited 6th man capacity.

Time for some Accomplishments

Kevin McHale thought he was good
Career PER of 15.6
Career TS% of .515 (even though I have no clue how useful it is)
Per 36min Smith averaged a consistant 16ppg/8rpg/1bpg
Shot 100% from 3 during his 24 year old season

Team So Far

PG- Jason Terry
SG- Michael Jordan
SF- Josh Smith
PF- Juwan Howard
C- Marcus Camby
PF- Joe Smith

I really think you should lose the rest of your picks for taking Joe Smith.

Round #6, Pick #228: Jim Jackson

-At 6'6, has good size for a two guard
-Enjoyed a long, if nomadic, career, with a few minor injuries but nothing serious.
-.385 3pt% from age 24-34
-Good defensive rating when he didn't play on horrible teams.
-.825 career FT%
-Good rebounder (mostly averaged 5 per game)
-Probably one of the most mentally tough guys in the league.
-Reportedly snagged Toni Braxton away from Jason Kidd

I'm mildly shocked that Jackson fell this far, and think he is very good value here. I will probably start him at the two, splitting minutes with Barbosa, although I'm not totally sure yet.

My team so far:

Kevin Willis - C
Charles Barkley - PF
Toni Kukoc - SF
Jim Jackson - SG
Stephon Marbury - PG

Leandro Barbosa - Bench

i haven't looked at the numbers to confirm or refute this, but i always thought jim jackson was the prime example of a guy whose weightlifting had a very negative effect on his game.

i remember his being so fluid and his jumper being so smooth and then each season he looked more and more jacked up and his touch seemed to just disappear. early on he looked like he was destined to be a premier scorer but it never really happened.

maybe you can write into his contract that he's only allowed to use machines.

LOL @ the Jim Jackson picture. I like the pick though.

Joe Smith, eh - not on my radar for PFs, his FG%/TS% is just gross for a big man.

Wally is good here, one of the top 3pt threats for SFs left. Thumbs up.

Had Jackson not destroyed his ankle in '94-'95, and never met Tony Braxton, he would have re-written Mavs history.

Bowen and Lee were the two I've wanted since my last pick(and considered them both with my last pick). Now that they're gone, its taken me a while to find a new guy, but I finally did....for the love of God, nobody take him please!!!

Speaking of face metling...I was watching the 2008 AVm's and saw Jenna Jamieson officially call it quits and retire from "The Industry".

I hope you take one of the two guys I have on my list Bobbo...just to make it easier on me.
