he's an animal. My only real concern with him and why I think it could be a tad early is he's only played 3 seasons and he's had a fair amount of injuries. Plus he's sorta doughy like everyone on the Knicks

There were definitely other guys with long careers I could have taken that scored more but probally didn't rebound as well. But since I already have Clifford who isn't really efficient nor scores that well in the post (jump shooter, 3 point shooter) I wanted a guy who could do that. Efficiency was key and there are other players who are more efficient then Lee, they just have played even shorter in the league than him. Most of the veterans who haven't been picked who played the 4/5 that are left have some big issues as well, some can't rebound, others don't score efficiently, other had short careers, etc.

1 thing of note, year 1 is the reason he didn't play b/c of injuries OR, b/c he was a rookie and didn't get minutes. I didn't watch a ton of his games but I know late first, early 2nd round guys that don't get minutes until late but are pretty good players. His 2nd year he missed 14 games which isn't that ba dnad this year he missed 1.

Yeah I thought Lee got a lot of DNPs the other year.. could be wrong though, perhaps he was injured.

oh yeah I'm not sure. I remember him being out with some leg issues in his 2nd season I believe, though.

Write up is up. Fairly certain my team is the ****.

I like Starks.. I had considered him before taking Phills, but went with a little more size and shooting. Having another combo guy gives your team some versatility for your next picks should you choose to go that route. I dunno about your chucker "defense" though. Historically that hasn't been the case.

Wow, picks a flyin'.

I really kinda hate the Ransey pick, there are just flat out better PGs available.

Bobby Phills - I like him a lot, I think the numbers underrate him a little bit. He had so much ability and was amazing on the defensive end.

David Lee - I've never looked at Lee's numbers until now. I'm impressed, especially because he plays on the Knicks.

Starks - Well, kc acknowledges up front that its a love/hate thing with Starks, and frankly I hate him. He's just such a chucker and I don't see how he works with Bird/SamIAm. The defense he'll bring will be nice though.

D

EDIT: Re: Starks, Part of an select "elite?" group to average 8 3pt attempts per 36mins in a season. So yea, bombs away.

He only really "chucked" for about 3 years on those Knicks teams, closer to 2, and those were by far his worst shooting years. He went from 10-11 FGAs to 16. He was def the 2nd option on those squads and they just never had a lot of offensive talent.

He'll be like the 4th on my team. He'll be fine. Great? No. But decent enough that you can't leave him unchecked. He can shoot the 3 fine enough and can dribble drive and create.

And then he checks out for Ricky Pierce and it's like raining buckets.

oh I meant to include in my write up he's responsible for the NBA pulling its head out of its ass and awarding 3 free throws for a foul on a 3pt shot.

I had that for about 30 minutes but decided I liked I'm certified better (avatar was KG kissing the parquet). But given they're all boozing and celebrating I think you're right.

I tried to link THIS ARTICLE in my Bobby Phills writeup, but I don't think it went through the PMs. I don't think it's worth having a mod link it, but if you guys get bored.....

Good pick with Wally imo. Thinking about him for my next pick. His stats are good just never really liked him with KG at all.

couple of 3pt threats I like a little more than Wally, mainly because Wally starting breaking down at a rather young age. He was on my list, though.

I thought the article was a bit sappy, but then I realized that it was written just one day after Bobby's death.
