I agree with everyone else btw that Harris is better than Rondo(both for his team and for this league overall). I think Rondo was a pretty horrible pick there. Otherwise, I do like his team.

Nicholas's team is super redundant from all 6 picks, 3 guys he picked are super similar to 3 other guys he picked. I'd rather have a lot of teams instead of his. JJ and Jrich are very similar players, JJ a slightly better shooter. Buck and Zo both play a lot in the paint, now I don't think post D is underrated but any means but they are similar players but all 4 of his top players like going to the hole. Rondo also likes going to the hole as well as Harris. The lane is going to be pretty clogged e/c with JJ imo.

Richardson is a very good 3pt shooter, JJ as well, it's not like all 4 guys are going to be cluster****ing the lane at once, one would assume he'll have a big guy up to run the screen n roll with JJ, etc.

Most of the memories I have are from the epic playoff battle with the Nugs, and subsequent pwnings of Shawn Kemp by Mutombo. He could run and would finish, but it was nothing spectacular. He's one of those players in the mold of an AC Green, except obv not as good.

Kendall Gill was the only guy that showed up to game 5 (1st round was best of 5). He even came up with the tip in to send the game to overtime. Honestly if I hadn't looked at the stats, I'd have thought he was better than they show. He was very athletic, and seemed to defend pretty well. But the stats don't lie.

That team must have been good, they currently have 8 players on that roster who've been drafted! The Nugz team that beat them has 1! It goes to show you how much of a stud Mutombo was.

Only because it can never be shown too much.

not like it means anything, but he was leading available players in all-star games (i think).
Thanks. LOL - gotta love it when the most positive thing anyone has to say about my pick is that 'its not ******ed'.

If I was in his position I would have taken a big wing player since he already had rondo and JJ handles the ball really well

Seadood,

Steve Smith was on those teams, no?

Or a big man who can shoot the J to spread the floor out a little since he already has 2 bangers. I know JJ and J-Rich can shoot it but it never hurts to have a big man who can spread it a little as well.

Round 6, Pick 219

Sean Elliot, SF

With the 219th pick of the draft, I'm going to go with Sean Elliot.

Elliot will probably take over the starting SF role on my team and his ability to hit the three and stretch and defense will fit in well with Malone posting up inside and Jackson looking to penetrate and dish to the open man. Also, the addition of Elliot allows me to use Antawn Jamison as my sixth man, a role in which he played very well a few years ago.

Elliot has a little shorter peak than most of the players on my team as he battled kidney problems near the end of his career which forced him into an early retirement.

For his career, Elliot shot .375% from three to go along with a TS% of .553. Also, his year 24 season was one of his best, as he was a member of the Western Conference All Star team averaging 17.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.8 apg.

Elliot will fit in well on my team as he allows me the flexibility to bring Jamison off the bench while giving me a nice role player in my starting lineup.

- 2 Time NBA All Star
- Career Averages of 14.2ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.6apg
- 1 kidney transplant

Current roster:

PG: Mark Jackson
SG: Alvin Robertson
SF: Sean Elliot
PF: Karl Malone
C: Mehmet Okur
Sixth Man: Antawn Jamison

Denver?

Nah, Miami, Atl, Port, SAS. There are some decent players on that team but nothing really special.

harris is 6'3, jj 6'7

i don't think that is 'very small backcourt'

and jj doesn't like to drive the ball...he may drive part of the way and put up a floater

i think harris/rondo can drive and dish to jj/jrich waiting on the wings...zo/buck can clean up the boards on missed shots, and jj/jrich are also decent rebounders

i do have some work to do on my next few picks...i agree there

Not a bad pick with Elliott, his injury issues is why he fell, he's nothing really special but he had a good peak. The major problem is 2 of his best seasons were before the cut off. He then has 4.5 good/above average seasons and then his injury hits.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinja!!!

Elliot was awesome. Injury problems are the only reason he lasted so long. Good defender and very good overall player. He had other injuries besides the kidney's, though.

Either way, I think it's a good pick.

Sean Elliot hits the Memorial Day Miracle

Craziest part of that play was the fact that his heels were out of bounds.

lol wtf is this ****.

I think Joe Johnson is def an above average defender, he was in Phoenix, and then he went through Paul Pierce/Kobe Bryant syndrome (his defense fell off due to having to shoulder the entire teams offensive load).

Now I don't think Johnson is as good on defense or offense as Pierce/Kobe are obv, but Joe Johnson is def an above average defender which he proved on the Suns when he was able to rest more on offense.

And Sean Elliott is a great pick, he was one of the 2 players left who I was talking about that was a good defender/could shoot the 3 very well (like I said he or the other guy would never be called elite defenders but they were still both good).

Cage looks like solid value: Efficient, above average rebounder, solid defender. I want to say who I feel is his NBA equivalent but he hasn't been drafted yet. His longevity/durability is awesome too. I guess the only knocks are his FT shooting (but he rarely gets to the line so this is unimportant) and it looks like he wasn't capable of passing (5% Ast% is almost half Mchales!). That said, as others have mentioned, why did you draft him? You're LOADED with rebounding as Biedrins and Grant are rebounders first. Also, this is a question directed to those who have seen Cage (Seadood, mainly) can he run? Your team is a running team so that seems to be important to "fit".
Bobbo/D104: Grant and Cage are both solid post defenders and rebounders. Grant probably has an edge on post defense while Cage is the better rebounder. Grant/Cage/Biedrins give me a rebounding edge against most teams and are all respectable defenders.

On the offensive end, I'm not going to win games trying to post up Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan, Mutombo, et al. With KJ/Barry/Dominique/Biedrins running around causing havoc I need someone to do the dirty work: setting screens and grabbing boards. Grant and Cage both relish this role and have thrived in it. I almost picked Cage over Grant last year due to Grant's injury concerns. Now, I don't have to worry about overusing Grant b/c Cage can step in his role with little dropoff and offense/defense but better rebounding. Grant and Cage play smart BB and have great character. These traits that have been vastly undervalued by some posters here.
