Yeah, I felt really bad after my post, and immediately checked to see how many posts I had made today before that. It's only 4, so I'm chalking it up to coincidence.

Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

The trade between mm and Meb is:

187
214
254

198
203
243

So mm moves down 11 spots for 11 later x2. Not great but not unfair, trade edge goes to Meb, but this is not robbery and it gets things moving, I think you should make your pick etc.

Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

MEb, for the record my trade summary is right, pick 215 belongs to cowboy. It shouldn't change much (if anything) but just wanted you to know. Also PM who you're taking so that Dudd can work on his writeup, please.

sucks imo, now in 11 picks we are gonna have to wait a while again. maybe I'm just grumpy because I wake up with a wicked hangover to no new picks

Hopefully in 11 picks time he's awake, if he isn't, we're all even bigger degens than we've shown tonight.

Nice to see how the NBA has changed: "3ptFG%: 1983-84 NBA .322 (3)"

i'm glad it kept the draft moving but trading up for this selection doesn't make any sense to me

Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

lol on 1.5 attempts per game as well.

still lots of assists and steals, especially considering your personnel makes this a very good pick.

Yeah, there was a zero percent chance he would get taken between your pick and his, but in order to keep the draft moving, I approve.

I was worried with the PG run and some people coming up soon that might be among the few people who would actually know of Moore. Also, basically my draft strategy has semi-revolved around me picking Moore here, and I have future picks in mind that fit into the current makeup of my team that shouldn't be effected by the move downs in 6 and 7. So basically it was a low risk security trade imo.

Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

i mean, now knowing about him he def would've been in my top 5. but then again, didn't know about him. but then again, might've found out about him in the time between our two picks.

Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

Knew you'd pick a PG but didn't think you'd get him. He was on my list, but still not very high (I think there are ATLEAST 5 better PGs) because he was an inefficient scorer, couldnt even claim because it was touches (small usage too) he was injury prone in my eyes (didn't realize it was a disease) and was an average defender at best. He's not tall so he's handcuffed to 1 position, and was never recognized for an award.

the thing he DOES do well is pass, ~10 per 36, so v good passer, which is good for your team. not a bad selection.
