Uh the rebounding this IS a good point wtf? Anyone who knows anything about basketball knows that the more great/good rebounders on a team, the less rebounds each will get...

His rebounding %'s should still be better than 12-15%

Not when you play with 2 great rebounders...You realize Parish/McHale/Bird is arguably the greatest rebounding frontline of all time right? Also Dennis Johnson was a very good rebounder for a PG too.

And fwiw I never said McHale was an elite rebounder or anything, just that he was a very good rebounder which is what pretty much every scouting report i've ever read about McHale says...

You made claims that Barkley wasn't that much of a better rebounder.

I think his rebounding %'s are pretty bad. Bird and many bench players consistently had better numbers. Part of me thinks it's because McHale had the build of a 68 year old man.

and yes we are making fun of you

McHale's rebounding %'s are awful for a PF of his ilk.

I don't think he was (especially defensive rebounding in which case I think McHale might have been better although Barkley was the better offensive rebounder)...put Barkley on the Celtics teams and I don't think he gets over 10 rpg and if he does it's not much more.

No, what would happen is Bird and Parish would get fewer rebounds, because Barkley was a better rebounder than them as well.

15 of Barkley's 16 DRB%'s seasons were higher than McHale's best DRB% season. The one season which Mchale had higher was by .05%, none of the rest are even close.

Barkley also played with a lot worse rebounders...

Okay, with that comment you have officially without a doubt stormed over the homerism cliff into the chasm of hyperreality below.

Parish averaged .1 more rebounders per 36 min while playing with a lot better rebounders, and also played so long that his last few years hurt him as it would have been more.

Parish and Barkley are close in rebounding. Barkley >>> Bird. Bird >>>> McHale. Barkley>>>>>>>>>McHale.
