I think most of us have kicked it around and can't really come up with more than a couple guys each of us would grab. KC likes a PG, I like a C and wing player right there.

Yeah. Dirk wouldn't have been my pick, but I think he's ok. There are like 4-5 guys that could go here that would be defensible. Dirk is certainly defensible.

Kobe's been in his decline ever since Shaq left.

I had Dirk rated as #16 on my board as well, so I like the pick. But he's white, so I should knock him down a few spots.

The all internal fortitude team:
Nene
Ronny Turiaf
Jeff Van Gundy

Who else?

And yet Nene would not make the testicular fortitude team.

Too soon?

dtemp:

i am not saying every player on your team has to have a championship. i think barkley, malone and stockton performed well when the pressure was the most throughout their career, their greatness can't be questioned (in my opinion)

no, they were not wrong for picking them instead of isiah. although, i would not of taken any of them before zeke.

i am thinking of building a team (as a whole) that i think would win the championship. hopefully there will be a quality big man for me to pick...( i will trade 3 first round draft picks for hakeem)

dtemp im not saying dirk isnt good, maybe soft was the wrong word to use, I'm just saying I wouldn't want to build a team around him, because in the admittedly limited games I've seen him play he doesn't rub off on his teammates. Don't get me wrong, he's a really good player, but I really don't think he is the choice to build a team around. this is why this process is great, many differing opinions, it would be boring if we all thought the same and hell I had the easiest pick so it wasn't much work for me yet

Too late. I already offered 3 first rounds picks plus cash. Infinite cash so no coming over the top. And don't try that infinite plus one crap.

Edit for smiley face.

We should send Ashy Knuckles posts to FJM. Maybe they could figure out which hack sportswriter he is impersonating.

Howard @ 17, which is a bit of a surprise, but not too much considering he is prob the best center left. But there are a number of Top 50 all time players still out there. Howards upside is v sexy though.

i know sports so if i dont know what fjm is... i am sure its not important to knowing sports.

i like the dwight howard pick btw. barring injury, when he is finished (if he plays long enough) he should be mentioned along with the all time great centers.

I just finished reading the original league rules. since we have to vote for others teams, i will keep my opinions about players more to myself (will try) so that my team wont suffer from the isiah thomas syndrome=people underrating my greatness because they dont like me.
