Obviously Pippen was a better player than Kukoc but I think the Jordan effect has to be considered pretty much the same for both of them. Kind of like Mchale playing with Bird and Parrish. Anyway his best statistical year was when he finally got to start after Jordan and Pippen were gone.

Again this is not true. Yes his numbers went up, as should be expected when great players leave and touches are available to other players, but his efficiency went down.

Maggette's DRtg is 107. For perimeter players thats around average. lets look at boxscore stats per 36:
4.8 career DRB, .9 stl, .2 blk, 3.4 fouls.

ok, so maggette doesn't force many TOs, wont block/contest shots, and fouls a bit. For his position, he doesn't grab an extraordinary amount of rebounds. Why is his DRtg so pedestrian than?

Here are similar defensive forwards: (running a few querries)
mike miller
rashard lewis
vin baker

interesting, eh? a 2, 3, and 4. those are the compatible defenders to maggette. makes sense too.

anyway, im not sure what im arguing, only, maggette can hold his own, he doesnt add anything to a defense, but he's not quite like a kiki vandeweghe.

i just thought thunder dan was a better offensive force, especially due to NBA2k and 2k1. he was really good on miami. seriously, i loved him and eddie jones together

i also dont think i hated on it too much, i thought it was solid, i just was spoiled

clark - i didnt really dislike your pick too much either. honestly, people have been picking very well, and it pains me there hasn't been an al horford blow up the past few picks.

Okay fair enough, but isn't this going to be the case with almost anyone? Hard to have high efficiency when the rest of the team sucks and defenders can key on the one dangerous player. Just ask Stephon Marbury

Bobbo,

I think I'm just hurt still that you ignored Mookie's prime TS% years where he went 53, 53 and 55 and you kind of blew off his D as if it's somehow irrelevant. My team creates mad crazy turnovers. Just a little jilted is all. Plus, your avatar makes me a sad panda.

My Ewing-Nance drafting was obviously my version of "The McHale Rules".

You think you are joking but u aren't

http://www.nba.com/history/players/mchale_bio.html

""He became the most difficult low-post player to defend in the history of the league. He was totally unstoppable because of his quickness, diversification of moves, and the long arms that gave him an angle to release the ball over a taller man or more explosive jumper."

"By this time McHale was at the peak of his skills. He had developed a low-post game that featured many moves not previously seen in the NBA or anywhere else. McHale had a grab bag of drop steps, head fakes, pump fakes, baby jump hooks, shovel shots and fadeaways that confounded even the best defenders. Anyone who drew McHale as an assignment was in trouble. He had no preferred spot. He could set up on either the right or left box. He could take the turnaround from either the baseline or the middle and he had extraordinary range.

McHale was the basketball equivalent of a good quarterback who has no fixed release point and varies the snap count. He could catch and shoot immediately or throw a head fake as the situation demanded. Amazingly, given his gawky legs and disproportionately long arms, he had extraordinary balance. He had become a force on the inside at either forward or center."

Bobbo, this season his DRtg was 110. In 2004 it was 110. What do you think the difference between those years and the years he was in the 105-107 range were? Do you think there's a reason his DRtg might be better in the time between? Also, in the NBA you get to guard Matt Harpring once in awhile. In this league, he'll be going against Kobe Bryant and Rashard Lewis. Big difference. So like I said, I can't imagine how many points this team would give up to Alex's...or any other offensively competent team.

Multiquote also lets you wait until you read the entire thread before u respond to all the quotes at once, so you can see if your points have already been said/proven invalid or not.
Is this a punishment or a reward?
