Round #4, Pick #133:
Toni Kukoc
I think Kukoc is a great fit for my team, as he bring a strong all-around game as a good spot up shooter, passer, and rebounder. He played a distinctive European style but was still a very effective player even coming off the bench behind Pippen on the Bulls. He had a very high basketball IQ and better court vision than many point guards. Kukoc's unselfishness will be a good asset as Marbury and Barkley will take a lot of shots, and he's good enough at passing and moving without the ball to to get open and find them for open shots. He is also 6'10, creating potential mismatches against smaller forwards and guards (he is listed as a F/G, not sure how much guard he played but would like to find out). I'm not sure how good he was on defense, but he averaged a 103 d-rating with Chicago which is pretty respectable, and if he's good enough for the 90's bulls he's good enough for my team.
Kukoc is another player whose actual career path probably has led people to underrate him, as the Bulls team got blown up after Jordan retired, and he was constantly getting traded around to bad teams where he was not a good fit and played on mostly tepid offenses. On my team, Kukoc is starting, not coming off the bench, and gets a chance to showcase his skills on a strong team.
