would 19 and 9 make you feel better?...20/10 just classifies a type of player imo - no biggie - fine - he was a 19 and 9 guy

you're talking about his second ankle injury (which was not a freak, because it was a result of playing on the first one), which you already claimed that you would help him avoid by not letting him play on the sprain (i'm not going to argue this fact unless i have to). i agree that the second ankle injury (the one where he heard something pop, which they later found to be a broken bone), was largely a result of the first.

i also agree that his career is likely on the "bad side of things" in terms of likelihood, and that we shouldn't expect him to completely die at age 28. however, arguing that he was/is not injury prone makes no sense, given his past history and what we already know about his career.

re: vin baker

same as coleman, pretty much. he was pretty good until extracurriculars ****ed him up. although it should be noted that he wasn't that efficient, his shooting %s and defense were mediocre at best

FWIW, this is not what I'm arguing. He def was somewhat injury prone, but he's not EXTREMELY injury prone like a lot of people were suggesting. Guy missed like 40 games in 10 years (between the four at Duke and six with the Pistons). That doesn't paint the entire picture, but it says a lot.

Round 4, Pick 132

PG - Mark Jackson

I'm going to hand off the PG position of my team to the #2 assist man in NBA history, Mark Jackson.

I'll get the negatives out of the way first as Jackson is not going to scare anyone with his jump shot from inside or outside the arc. He doesn't have a bad TS% (.522) but he's not really a threat to go off for 20+ points on anyone.

Now, the positives. Jackson was an extremely durable player throughout his career. In his first 16 seasons, Jackson missed 27 out of a possible 1,280 regular season games making him one of the most durable players in NBA history.

The biggest strength that Jackson will bring to my team as mentioned earlier, is his ability to pass the ball. In his 17 career NBA seasons, Jackson finished in the top 10 in assists TWELVE times including leading the league in the 96-97 season. In addition, Jackson has the fifth highest assist percentage in NBA history which should allow him to get the ball to Malone, Jamison, and Robertson in the ideal position.

- 1 time NBA All Star
- 2nd all time in assists
- Career PER of 16.0
- Top 10 all time in assists per game

My team so far...

PG - Mark Jackson
SG - Alvin Robertson
SF - Antawn Jamison
PF - Karl Malone

also, alex:
i really like that you decided to pick a center so you could play Jefferson at his natural position. I would have rather you pick an overall better center, but Dalembert is decent as a defense-only (with a little offense mixed in) center. like Biedrins, Chandler, etc.
+1 on both of KLJ's points.

Everything I've read on Robertson has him as a SG with the ability to play point.

MJackson was the best pure point available for a long time. He doesn't offer much else but he's a rediculous passer.

The YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT made me laugh. Definitely agree that I need a bigger guard off the bench.

Awesome pick, I almost said **** it and picked him to make a three guard combo so far in my picks. I was considering him as early as the second round.

Edit to add: Jackson to Malone works brilliantly, great pick all round.
