Yeah with Glen who can play both the 2 and the 3 and Lamar who can play 3 or 4, you have greater flexibility with your next picks.

Edit- Plus as someone else mentioned, having Hakeem ensures that you don't need much more interior defense so you could go a little smaller.

Odom's okay. I think you should have gotten either a good 1v1 guy or a better passer though.

I didnt like Odom, until I saw the team he ended up on. He basically gets to pay the same role as he does on this year's Lakers, when he posted career highs in Rebs and FG% (10.6, 52.5%) and lows in fouls and turnovers.

A bit early in general, but it doesn't really matter when the fit is this good.

15-20 feet 1 v 1 how many 4s are going to be ablet to stay with Lamar? He has a freakish skill set for a 6-10 guy. He can rebound and has the versatility to be a mismatch for both 3s and 4s. He doesn't always press the issue because that's just his personality but the guy has all the tools. That's why I'm putting him on a team where he can use his skills in spots and doesn't have to "be the man". I just don't think you can pass on the value of a guy like Lamar this late into the 3rd round and to top it off he fits in with my scheme/team perfectly.

I like this pick and agree he can blow by most 4s. Sometimes I think he gets too cute with his moves and should just drive hard without so much shake and bake.

It doesn't matter if you can't stay with lamar if he can't finish a layup

I don't mean a better passer at the 3/4.

Edit: But if he plans on using Lamar like Lamar was used this year, it's not like he should expect a ton of passing. Lamar only had 3.5 ast/game this year. And it's not like Hakeem really needs a passer at the 4 spot, he won his championships with Otis Thorpe there.

not sure if you can be a better passer than lamar really... as this is easily the best assist ever.

I figured...

the chances of Lamar being available when I pick next < getting a pg of similar value at 127 as I would be able to get at 114.

just got up, pick coming now. Interestingly enough I think I may actually not take the guy I want most, but I think I'm gonna take the guy who I think has the least chance of getting back to me in 11 picks.

This is always the best part of the draft - when it snakes back. Picks start to fly and teams take shape. Fun!

Is it just me or is Lamar Odom's head just not in the game?

For a guy who does a lot of things well and is generally efficient, Odom just seems like a ******.

Yeah he's on my all-"likely to be playing while stoned" team. Still he adds enough to make it a good pick/great fit.
