Good pick imo. He was on my short list before I decided to go with Glen Rice.

I'd love to hear the reasoning behind that.

kiki was very one dimensional, and he sucks as a gm.

Mullin was a better defender, passer, and rebounder. Plus he still averaged 25 ppg over his 5 year peak (very efficient also) so it isn't like Kiki blows him out of the water as a scorer. Mullin put up at least 15 ppg until he was 36 and retired.

Much more durable, better drinker.

I like the Kiki pick a lot though, he was on my radar for sure.

Ok, Im off to watch the Champions League final so Ill be gone till late tonight Euro time.

Conditional on JoA saying yes after he sees who BigCat picks, we've made a trade. My picks 85 and 196 for JoA's 113 and 128.

i hate spurs,

I only link some youtubes as easter eggs cuz I figure anyone can do their own youtube searches and I think b-ref stuff is more important. I'm certain my way is better. I appreciate your constructive criticism, though; it's what I thrive on.

Sincerely,
mngt

Kiki was a good pick - but you cant be serious when you compare him to Mullin or Cummings...everythiung Kiki did, Mullin did better...and everything Kiki did, Cummings did better plus more. I can see you trying to compare Kiki with Mullin maybe (becuase their styles were somewhat similar, but you know youre talking about one of NBAs Top 50 Players of All Time, right?) - and Cummings....he was a defensive beast, a rebouding monster and was so damn versatile on the offensive end its not even funny. Youre comparing apples and oranges my friend...rather grapes and watermelons.

Cummings had post moves galore...and to top it off could step outside for the Jay....slash or settle for a mid range. He was a mismatch waiting to happen.

kiki was a good value pick - but please...no vulgar language.

No it's been discussed over and over. Stop trying to create this phanton Marbury that doesn't exist. It's one thing to argue someone would have continued being great had they not gotten injured. It's another to suggest that you're allowed to turn a ballhogging team cancer who offers very little and whose teams get better when he leave into someone that he's not.

incorrect. the thing you omitted (and I understand why) is that Kiki is the worst defensive player taken in the draft thus far. Yes, the worst. You have to hope you match up against a team that has a black hole at the 2/3 or 4 bc otherwise all the offense is getting funneled into him. he never had a year his DRtg was under 109. (and just year at 109 - everything else was 111 or worse). He has career total 26.3 DWS over 810 games! I do agree he defines instant offense and can do all that amazingly well.

Your team now has 2 subpar (well, 1 below average and 1 terrible) defenders, will be interesting to see how you handle this.

I mean getting Shaq first round is so awesome and just like with Jordan, I would have to think long and hard about who to team those guys with. Granted, we never saw Eddie with Shaq in his prime, and Eddie is definitely underrated, but I’m sure you could have chosen someone more effective.

Who else were you considering besides Eddie? Is there a chance he would have slipped to third round?
This is directed at me I guess, and my list had 2 guys, one of which was Eddie, the other who has not been selected yet. No chance I would've been able to take Eddie in the 3rd. Eddie is by definition a high efficiency, low turnover, very good defender, intelligent scorer. So, not sure what you mean someone more effective - is there someone out there who does everything he does, but slightly better? I don't think so, I looked hard looking for people like this, and Eddie was the BPA IMO.

oh yeah Kiki played for those freakish Denver teams that makes recent PHX teams look like molasses. It's no surprise his bulk stats and PER all drop when he got shipped to Portland. Given your team's makeup, I think you're more likely to get that guy. Well it's the same guy really, just wanted to point out his bulk stats with Denver (30/5/3 peak) are a little deceiving. Either way he can make it rain, though.

Just read in the wiki about how he pulled an Eli Manning on the Dallas Mavericks when he was drafted. And he's a ****ty GM. Man **** this guy.
