I have work to do on my computer on and off for pretty much the rest of the day and I'm not in the draft. If anyone wants to PM me a list, I'll be around to make your pick.

only in mystere, but in pure defensive ability, big ben may actually have been better.

people remmeber big ben as his lazy, slothful, bulls self. on the pistons he was a game changer it was unbelievable.

i'll admit it, for a year (maybe 2) ben wallace was my favorite NBA player.

Round 2, Pick 61: Mitch "Rock" Richmond

Pairing Kidd with a lights out shooter and scorer is a no brainer here. Someone who can run along side him and force Ds to be honest is key. Richmond is one of only 7 NBA players to average at least 21 PPG in his first 10 seasons and his consistency was amazing. Whether you remember him on Run TMC, the Kings, or Wizards you probably saw him lighting it up. Richmond was forced to play on some pretty horrendous Kings teams in the 90s but was still a fabulous player. Richmond tailed off a bit at the end of his career but he really just did not fit in on those Washington teams. In his final season, he jumped on the Laker 3 peat squad to win a title and go out on top. The key with evaluating Richmond is to look past the awful teams he was on and look at him as a player and how he will fit into this league.

Michael Jordan said Richmond was one of the hardest players to defend in the NBA. "There really are no weaknesses in his game," said Jordan. "He can drive to the hoop as well as take the outside jump shot. He reminds me a lot of me in his overall offensive display."

I guess my big question about the "future" is how far are we going to look? Any more than 6-7 years and its going to get weird. Its a rare feat for a player to excel into his 30s. If we are going to look 10+ years into the future, I think a lot of teams will be LOL bad or won't have enough players to fill a starting 5.

Mitch Richmond was the 2nd best player in NBA Jam (a game full of superstars), so you got that going for you.

Yeah thats sorta the point. Wallace is as good of post defender and rebounder as anyone other than Shaq, Dream, Deke, etc. I thought it was good value. Plus, he's only going to shoot when its a layup, dunk, put back etc.

But the thing is, that's all he really does now and shoots 47%. The guy has brick hands. 40% ft percentage is mercilous bad.

It's true too, only player better was Pippen, and if Jordan was in the game it obv woulda been unfair having the 2nd best players in the game on the same team.

But of course the best team in the game imo was the Hornets, with Mourning and another player who hadn't been drafted. Both were big (small guys sucked ldo), could dunk, and shoot the 3 all lights out sick team.

Like Richmond a lot. Sacto was my team in NBA jam because of him. He was an insane shooter in the game and had crazy dunks too. He was pretty good irl as well.

I dunno.. Im' a little meh on the Richmond pick, just based on the #s. But on the flip side he was an absolute staple on all of NBA Live super teams. I loved this guy.

I think it's a good pick, not a great one.

Its a franchise, discussion has been had about a tournament at roughly 24, 28, 32 years old. So getting a guy that only produces for 5 years and then is out is gonna hurt. That being said, other than most of the guys in the first round, you aren't going to have someone excel for 10-15 years straight.

How many 5 time all-nba playerrs, 6 time all-stars are you going to get in the middle of the 2nd round? Defensively he's pretty blah, but still.
