Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

Funny. I'd figure it out as all the important offseason stuff, including the master league spreadsheet, comes out via email in the next week or two.

Assani, that goes for you too sir.

Is that why you tried to sabotage Assani's idea and start your own draft, even though there hand't been an issue with anyone taking too long to that point?

Yes because I knew it would be an issue.

Let me use this accurate example.

There are 40 people on this Island. However there are no laws against murder. No one has ever murdered someone in 1 year so far, so obviously it's not an issue according to people like you.

Do you wait until someone murders a few people to make a law, or do u make one right away?

Everyone these days is emulating my ingeious cover for bad posts by calling them levels after the fact. I can't tell you how many horrendous posts I have explained away in this manner.

Except that Assani said he would take care of the problem if it came up. There was no reason not to trust his judgment and instead create unnecesary conflict in a great thread. Unlike your analogy, it wouldn't be a big deal if Assani's solution failed, so we could easily change the rule if it became an issue.

But that's not the main point. It's just disrespectful to steal his idea like that without his permission while his draft was still going on.

Whatever though. This is a silly argument, and everyone seems to have moved on, so I'll drop it.

Re: Modern Era NBA Build a Franchise Draft Discussion

This thread has turned into serious gay balls. Which sucks. Good job e-pippen.

I will respond to the time limit:

I have been heavily involved in the discussion of this draft. I made my first pick very fast. Made my second pick fast enough to where no time limit would have been a concern. I work 7 days a week. I have a busy ass schedule. And if some gay rule like 12 hours to make a pick dropped me I would be ****ing pissed yet posters like e-pippen and one other guy continue to tard up this draft/discussion and stay around.

Some people have lives and while we may take our laptops to the crapper we don't take it to the club--well JoA may.

+1 and please stop strawmanning the 12-hour time limit, almost everyone who has supported a time limit has said 24 hours is appropriate.

e-pippen- stop tarding up the thread then. The last 4-5 pages of this thread is of you arguing. The other posters are just spending time arguing w/ you, I won't do that.

In an attempt to the get this back on track:

Does anyone think there are any potential player trades out there right now that would make BOTH pairings better? Interesting topic, I think.

i voted in the other thread, haven't checked it (reading through this one, this thread got ugly fast) but my stance is the same as jacks

yeah, it's tough to say. i think brad was a decent pick but no means stellar. with the 3 tourney rule (if we're doing it like this) then you're right, he's fine in this format
