Kevin Johnson was a great pick imo...and really works well with the Nique pick. Yea - defensively you may not have the best start to a team - but theres still 8 more picks to make...good start Zoid.

There might not be a lot of great post players left but there are a lot of great defensive specialist still available. Guys with great D/great O are pretty much gone already but specialists are still available throughout the draft.

btw, despite our disagreements I will say that I like the fact that EPiPeN11 makes arguments that go against everyone else. I obviously hate his reluctance to see others views and his intellectual arrogance though, and I think he'd be much better without those. But overall, I'm glad to have people like you in this, as it makes things interesting.

Kevin McHale is, without question, the greatest human being in known history.

lol I love how "argument(s)" means 1 in this thread and that's it, and how "not seeing others views" applies to other people more than it does to me.

I can't wait for Epipen's fourth round picks so we can debate his inevitable arguments that they were draft steals that should have gone in the second round.

EPiPeN11,

Before we do that lets go over "based on the rules of this draft" qualifier. I asked you this once, but you never responded....

Why exactly do you feel as if this draft is different than real life NBA? Yes there is a bigger player pool here since we're using a near 30 year span. But we have 40 teams. And we don't have any rebuilding(Bobcats) or horrible(Knicks) teams, so the top teams of this draft will be very similar to top teams of real life imo.

I would rank the players in this draft just as I'd rank them in real life....

I'd put KG at #1 on that list.

The next 3 I'd consider very close, and honestly I could easily be swayed. Right now without thinking much I'd go Barkley, Malone, McHale but I'm sure I could be convinced to put McHale above both of them. I don't feel that strongly about it really.

What I do feel strongly about is that McHale's offense is not two greater than signs better than Amare's, I would never take McHale over Magic or Bird, McHale is nowhere close to the rebounder Chuck is, and you overrate McHale overall.

Even though we have crappy teams, we also won't have stacked teams either it's a double edged sword (no team will be as good as the 80's Celtics/Lakers, 90's Bulls etc.)

There is by far more talent in this draft than there is in the NBA and that's even taking into consideration 10 more teams. 30 years is a much bigger difference, and you will start to see it when u still see people who were making all-star teams being drafted as bench players.

I feel strongly that McHale is better than all 3 of those players in terms of this draft. I don't really feel that strongly on McHale's offense being >> greater than Amare's but I do think it is, and I def think McHale was not that much worse of a rebounder than Barkley was (you def way underrate McHale's rebounding). You also underrate McHale overall because he didn't have a long peak due to a freak injury, and came off the bench earlier in his career, none of which matter in this league.

With what two things? You said:

"lol I love how "argument(s)" means 1 in this thread and that's it"

when I WAS COMPLIMENTING YOU for starting those arguments. Here is what I said again:

"I will say that I like the fact that EPiPeN11 makes arguments that go against everyone else"

The "jabs" were that you are arrogant and you rarely change your views. I don't think you'd even debate these things yourself. I thought I was merely point out facts, not bashing you....

Regarding arrogance:

You admit that you think 90% of people are idiots
You treat us like little kids with statements like "I bet you didn't know that, did you?"
You continually fall back upon "you didn't see them play" or "you don't know what you're talking about"(especially funny since you admit that you didn't see him play and are just getting your info from analysts).

Regarding rarely changing your views:

This is now two threads where you've been against nearly everyone but havn't changed.
When asked to point out something you've changed your opinion on, you mentioned not knowing that Joe D was a PG and that changed your opinion. You couldn't mention one time where you knew the facts, had an opinion, and then changed your opinion
You then said that I didn't change my opinion either, but I gave you 4 examples just from this thread

Anyway like I said, I thought the "90% of people are idiots" meant that you realized you were arrogant and were ok with that. I wasn't trying to insult you.

We have so much time to waste arguing about this because the draft is moving too slowly.

Agreed, I also feel strongly that this draft is going way too slow (a lot of it due to u Assani) and that tons of people are complaing and rightfully so. I feel strongly that u should make a 24 hour timelimit for EVERY pick not just the first round ones, and I'm sure tons of people will agree with me on this.

Seriously, we need to do away with the no time limit on picks immediately. There's no reason we can't impose a 12 hour time limit.

Honestly, 24 is probably even too long. It's been 18 hours since the last pick and it seems ridiculous at this point. It's even worse that it's somebody who has barely been in this thread at all.

Obv I agree, as I tried to make a league like this with committed owners and a 15 hour timelimit (where hopefully it would only be used once or twice and people would pick within 1-4 hours let's say.)

It's his fault for allowing a) no timelimit after round 1, b) letting these people to either stay in the league (there are a few people like xorbie and others who I forgot who have expressed interest in doing this and I'm sure would GLADLY take over a team), or sign up for it in the first place (there should be no one allowed to sign up that doesn't post on 2+2 often).

Imo, we should be able to average about 5 picks a day. Seems about perfect amount to generate a lot of discussion about each pick, but still keep it moving at a nice pace. Right now we're averaging about 4.5, but it's def been slowing. Over the last 3 days down to 2 picks/day.

We need to create a thread about how much the Wii sucks, then Nicholas will be right on his way.

Crap, that's right the Wii Fit came out today. Today for Nicholas is probably like the day I discovered Asian porn. He won't be doing anything else for at least a week.
