sasha and patterson are great picks this late.

I would take sasha over kerr because sasha has a quicker release and gets more shots up than kerr. Sashas defesne is also so much better.

Sasha played defense well againt 3's also, he did a good job on ginobli and pierce while also giving trouble to the point guards as well.

Round 9, Pick 336
Steve Kerr, SG

The NBA's all-time career leader in Offensive Rating, I drafted Steve Kerr to do one thing, shoot 3s like a mother ****er. His career .454 3-point shooting is 2nd all-time, and that's all I'll be asking him to do as the 9th player taken. He had three different full seasons where he shot over .500 from beyond the arc.

Potential cons: He was banged up a lot; his career didn't really take off until age 28; he needed the insanely talented Bulls teams to realize his potential.
Refutations: He played 82 games four consecutive seasons from 28-31; he was still a good 3-point shooter before then, so his low PERs and and minutes played aren't necessarily his fault; our team has the offensive talent to make the most of what Kerr does.

We'll just post him up at the arc and hit him if/when someone leaves him to double. And even if his shooting just keeps a man on him and leaves one of our other offensive players open, so much the better. Great fit here; a killer 3-point shooter was my most glaring hole, and now it's filled.

SF/PF Dirk Nowitzki
PF/C Carlos Boozer
PG Jose Calderon
SG/SF Dan Majerle
C James Donaldson
PG/SG Steve Francis
PF/C John Salley
SG/SF Ronnie Brewer
SG Steve Kerr

finally kerr went. id take kerr over sasha at this point. sure sasha has a bit more potential but kerr was effective for a long time.

IMO ruben patterson is a late round steal. he's a guy in the shane battier, tayshaun, russell, etc. mold

It's not often you can grab a guy who averages under 5 points and 5 rebounds a game and has zero upside. Well done.

I actually expect less than 5 and 5 from him on my team.

I think clark just wanted an absolutely neutral player who will add nothing and deduct nothing from his team.

You shoulda just traded this pick for a dollar of stars money or something of that sort.

So I guess BJLT is on the clock? I haven't seen very much of these three guys around lately.

I'm around just not posting that much since I'm on a mini vacation/had a wedding to attend. I'll have my post up within my 24 hour limit whenever it's my turn to pick.

Subtle yet compelling FYP.

Also, if Perdue is getting picked then you guys are truly scraping the bottom of the barrell. Was Chuck Nevitt already selected?

no and not even close.

Milsapp is on the bench because he has Carlos boozer ahead of him.

Purdue was on the bench his entire career because he had no talent.

He was just a 7 foot body to take up space and fouls when the primary big man goes to the bench.

So can I pick now or do I need to wait another 24 hours to see if the guys before me show up?

Milsap is an undersized pf who wouldn't start on any legitimate contender.

Purdue has good per-36 and will be in the same role he was on all 4 of his championship teams.

this is saying the same thing but making your guy sound better.

Millsap is better. In every category. What's more damning: that Millsap is a bit undersized but still produces like mad, or that Purdue is a 7'er who only managed 20+mpg twice in his career? Oh and one of those was playing 29mpg for the Admiral-less Spurs in the TankForDuncan Sweepstakes.
