I will say without a doubt if coaches are selected, I'm picking him in the 10th. No one will notice as Epip explains to everyone how coach X fixes all the flaws on his team

Just imagine someone with an awful team arguing that they will beat a better team because of coaching, pretty much takes away the whole point of seeing who drafted the better team doesn't it?
Larry Brown didn't turn the Knicks around. Phil Jackson's first two post-Shaq Lakers teams were pretty average and lost in the first round. Meanwhile Doc Rivers' team got 66 wins and is in the finals. Even Mike Brown got to the finals behind LeBron.

instead of drafting coaches, you guys should draft NBA Jam Tournament Edition powerups. unlimited turbo! always on fire! teleportation passes! with the 40th player taking big heads.

lol it's amazing how many people exagerate/put words into my mouth in this thread.... seriously it's happened more in this thread than it has probably in my entire life combined.

I said the coach I would pick would help stress team basketball. I didn't say they would fix all the flaws on my team (although I don't have any major flaws anyway), I just said they would help my team play better team basketball. Someone like Phil Jackson made Jordan/Kobe/others more willing passers, not better passers. That is what I would do, I wouldn't make McHale a better passer, I would make him a willing passer. I'm not saying I will suddenly turn non shooters into shooters, or other crap that people have said throughout this thread.

It's amazing that people on here don't understand there is a huge difference between passing skills and actually being a willing passer, i'm starting to think I am arguing with a bunch of people who only look at basketball reference and have never watched an NBA game in their lives.

I like this idea.

Wrong we only watch ESPN Classic and get info from commentators.

Thing is, all of us for the most part know the players and know their inherant problems. The difference between us and you, is you keep trying to weasel your way out of your players problems. Deal with it, no player is perfect.

I know Dwight Howard sucks at FTs, isn't a great passer, and turns the balls over. I don't go around going well this 1 game Dwight had 6 assists and another he had 0 TOs and another he went 14-17 from the line. Therefore he can shoot fts, can pass and doesn't turn the ball over.

It's amazing how effective simply grabbing a teammate and saying, "hey, next time down, pick'n'roll on the right elbow" is. I'm gonna be back out in Vegas next weekend. I wanna play some ball, but I came down on a foot about a week ago and ****ed up my ankle, and I don't know that it's going to be healthy by then.

You act like you have this great dearth of knowledge about basketball, but you merely study stats. It's not that hard to do that.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! Awesome.

The AccUShot22 has inspired me to walk around my apartment looking for things to "invent" by scribbling on **** with a sharpie.

Uh no, there are some things that can be fixed and some that can't, turning someone into a willing passer who isn't a cancer and is a team player can easily happen

So give me a list of what can and can't be fixed from all the players in this league and I'll "power" my guys up to own the rest of the league.

Making someone into a willing passer and having someone shot select better are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

HE PLAYED ON THE CELTICS! A TEAM REVERED FOR THEIR TEAM BALL! HE HAD MULTIPLE COACHES IN THIS TIME! HE KEPT THE SAME DAMN ASST AND REBOUND RATES HIS WHOLE CAREER REGARDLESS OF COACH AND TEAMMATES

huh? The only really good passer on the team was Bird...and he always played with great rebounders when McHale was healthy

Man, I'm really glad Ricky Pierce is gone. Kevin McHale with an Accushot is a really scary thought.

fixed it. my b. Got fired up.

Also, I'm assuming he's using the foot as an excuse for not rebounding any better when Bird was out... despite his #s still being the same as they were his WHOLE CAREER when Larry returned the next year

We all need to collectively impose a McHale moratorium. There's just no point in debate any more. I think Epip has poisoned the well of voters enough that you don't have to correct/disagree with him because he isn't going to be able to convince ppl to vote for his team.
