assani - team looks real good on paper, actually getting penny and ak47 on the court is an issue though.

If you have 4 gazelles, what is your 5th player? The gazelle feeder? What do gazelles eat?

Clark,

Meant Houston. I have a hard time calling him a gazelle. Could be wrong, though.

Assani's Team: now 3/5ths healthy!

agreed, although except for AK47 missing about 10 games they were all healthy for age 24, so at the very least I think I should be a favorite for the year 1 title.

"I'm taking Caron "I carried a team of scrubs to the #5 seed and all I do is keep getting more studly each year" Butler to round out my starting 5."

Just pointing out that one of those "scrubs" was taken 56 picks before Caron Butler. He also scored more points, had more rebounds, had more blocks, had fewer turnovers, and most importantly had a higher usage than Caron.

I was scouting out Butler when I drafted Iggy 2 rounds ago. My buddy thought it was a better pick.

Just to be clear: I'm not debating who is better. I'm simply saying Jamison was used more, so he moreso than Caron, should get credit for "leading the team" and Caron definitely shouldn't get credit for leading a bunch of scrubs.

Caron was not on my list of 2 for this round(my other one is still available), but I do like the pick.

I would definitely be interested in trading up now(not to get my #2 actually though, as I no longer have a need at the SF spot since I have 3 guys who can play it now).

I'm also interested in trading up - *and* I already have 2 fifths (2nd one is 196)

I like Iggy with the age issues.

He was #2 on my list for my 4th round pick. Passing on LJ was too much for my heart to bear tho.

No helping that people make bad picks.

Hey, Butler had more assists, more steals, higher PER and higher %'s across the board despite being the primary ballhandler for much of the year. I can make convincing sounding statistical arguments also.

On top of it, that scrub is maybe the one player whose contributions are most massively misrepresented by stats in the entire draft. I really don't think Jamison is that good of a "real life" basketball player. His D is terrible and on offense he contributes nothing except waiting to be passed the ball.

Fair enough. Disregard my last post.

btw, was anybody else looking at McCray? I thought that I may have been able to trade down and still get him, but I really didn't want to risk it as I didn't see the combo of defensive stopper/highly efficient on offense anywere else besides him.

Clark in particular....I really thought you had traded up to get McCray. Did you consider him? Did anyone? Maybe I did pass up some value by not trading down.

Never heard of him. Couple that with the pic and I thought your post was a joke.

Yeah ePip said the same thing(I PMed him because he asked us to PM him players that we thought may have been better than Deng at his pick).

McCray was the #3 overall pick in the draft, and it was widely critisized because Houston fans wanted hometown hero Clyde Drexler.

The other thing that McCray is most well known for is being the inbounder on one of the greatest last second shots in NBA history(too many undrafted players involved to elaborate more though).
