i needed some lowpost scoring and howard was the best low post scorer available imo. i probably forgot someone though. howard is a consistent 17/7

Right now as far as starting fives go:

Flyingmoose=AC Cobra>Steroid Boy

If I could rate the teams on a 10 point scale based on offense/defense, I'd say:

FM = Offense 4 / Defense 7
AC = Offense 8 / Defense 3
Steroid = Offense 2 / Defense 8

All IMO of course....

I agree with the first two, but I just don't see SB's team as a 2 on offense. I mean...Michael ****ing Jordan!!

yeah perhaps I'm underrating... But come on, Camby, Josh, and Howard... none of those guys are going to make it easy for MJ to get points.

MJ is a high volume/low efficiency guy, I think you hurt him a lot by pairing him with high volume/low efficiency.

I think you underrate my team's offense. I have one of the greatest point guards of all time, and 4 other guys who have all averaged >18 points. None of them are specialists who are easily taken out of the game.

All of them are good decision makers, LaMarcus is the only guy who might jack up bad shots, and with a good coach and pressure from his teammates (Isiah was famous for always holding people accountable in the locker room) he's unlikely to do that. Plus, my team's fast break is looking SERIOUSLY dirty.

I just don't see how this team is a 4 on offense.

Part of it is that I have a specific PG in mind for my team that I feel will be available at my 5th pick. Now if I'm wrong that will suck, but that factored into it.

I just don't see how this team is a 4 on offense.
Thomas and Oneal for all their greatness are pretty inefficient shooters, averaging .516 and .511 respectively. Richard Jefferson is pretty good at .560, and Roy is average at .538.

I think that on paper this would be a well below average offense (compared to others in this draft), but you've got a team who imo works well and passes well, so I thought they were a little better than their numbers might suggest. I think that you've got a great group of creators, but none of them are terribly efficient at doing so.

The "4" rating is in relation to what I think will be average in this draft...

Seadood, I think you're using stats too much as a crutch and not taking the players themselves into account. Jermaine had poor efficiency because he ran an offense without really being good enough to. Getting the ball in the right spots and not asking him to force plays when the team is in a drought I expect his TS% to skyrocket. Isiah also had to shoot more than a point with his passing skill would prefer because Dumars was the only other great offensive talent on that team.

Basically, you have two great players who were thrust into a position where to have good efficiency they would need to have top 20 all-time scoring talent. Neither was a chucker or incapable of making good decisions and both have serious offensive game.

Given the strengths of these two players and the fact that their load will be reduced significantly I think it's fair to expect that both will score way less and with a much better TS%

what the flying **** is going on here?

Offense/Defense (5 being average in this league)
FM = 7.5/4.5
AC = 6.5/5.5
Steroid = 4.5/7.5

IMO of course. and AC has the best chance of being a "team".

I think after two questionable first picks, flyingmoose had a very nice 4th. He got an incredible amount of talent in those 3 picks. Doesn't mean he has a great team though, very lacking in range and still high in injury risk. I think its hard to tell if his trading strategy worked out because I don't like his top 2 guys, but if I was told I could get LMA/Roy/Jefferson all in the 4th, I would be hard pressed to turn that down. Ewing/LMA/Jefferson/Rice/Roy would have sounded nice.
