TSC mentions Brent Barry.
Kidcolin goes on tilt because that's who he's been sleeping on.
Other posters aren't aware of why he's tilting, so they ask why.
Kidcolin tries to distract everyone in time to get the BB posts deleted by mentioning the LOST finale.
A brief LOST derail ensues.
Kidcolin goes along as best he can, offering up some of his own humor.

I guess you had to be there, but I found it very amusing.

[edit] I feel partially responsible since my link of the awesome Mark Jackson highlights prompted TSC to post the Brent Barry highlights unbeknownst of the rules. It sort of works out for me since adding BB to his team would have been pretty sick. Sorry KC.

Also, I like the pick. Brent was acutally brought in as a stopper for most of his career, even though his numbers actually show that he was much more than that.
One of my finest hours.

Wondering where Kaman would go. Decent 24 yr old season with a stellar season afterword. I'm willing to write off this year's injury based on previous years and his style of play. Good pick, one that I originally thought KC might go for out of pure ugliness.

BTW, when I was suggesting that Maggette sucks at defense, the reason why is that the only time past the age of 24 when he is under 110 is when both Kaman and Brand were healthy.

seriously though there wasn't a better fit for my team than Brent Barry. I should have taken him in the 4th and slept on Dale.

He could be better than these guys, but hasn't done it long enough to make him a better pick than any of those guys except Horford, imo.

If you want a more complete game you could go with Harper. I guess it would be more accurate to say Marjerle shows why its a bad pick, but Harper adds another player where if you and forgotten about thunder Dan you should have realized that there are still better players than Hamilton available.
I wrote this badly- What I wanted to say was that Harper and Rip are similar value (though differing skill set) players. I prefer Harper but that could well be the Cavs homer in me. I think that if you had taken Harper in Rips place (ignoring team fit) it would have been an obvious reach, and Rips skill set is neither so unique nor so superior that it justifies that reach. There were 4-5 guys taken after him that were as good or better shooters and one or two who were better shooters and better defenders. So the reason Harper shows that Rip was a reach is that Harper looks to me to be solid value 30+ picks after Rip went, while being similar value players.

in Dale? Yeah but there are other guys I could get to fill that role, though not as good as Dale. But there's only one Brent Mother****ing Barry.

I wonder what Assani is going to say when he sees Brent picked right after he mentions him. What a toolbox

I don't see Kaman falling off (barring injury of course), dude is a sick rebounder, good defender, good scorer (although should never be the #1 option like he was this year), has an underrated jump shot, and is very quick for his size.

damn, I like the Barry and Kaman picks. Had a pipe dream I'd be able to grab Kaman next round. Not surprised at all that I can't.

I can't hate the Kaman pick too much, as I'm in the market for a C too and it definitely looks like a sellers market out there, it's pretty slim pickings at this point. Not who I would have went for, but I can't say that I would argue for anyone better at this point.

I don't really like stats, but Kaman is so goddamn inefficient it's almost as scary as his haircut.

i completely blew it. My heart kept telling me to reach for Barry but I didn't want to have to defend it when a bunch of clowns point to Allan Houston and Steve Smith and whatever undrafted players Assani felt like comparing him to.

Thanks for the list.

Kaman > Dalembert, Hoford imo.
Brad Miller, PJ > Kaman
Not sure about Hot Rod.

I have Daugherty...I can afford another big who is less than great at scoring...I need interior defense/rebounding. I feel Kaman provides that. I have a nice perimeter defender in Pippen, and nice interior defender in Kaman, and two offensive-minded players that won't kill me on D in Ellis and Daugherty. I think my team is shaping up fairly nicely.
