25.2 PER, 121 ORtg, 106 DRtg. .573 TS.

I think all those PGs obv had great seasons, but TB was like that too.

He played as a 31 yr old. Not everyone plays until they're 35 or so. ESPN RATED HIM AS THE PG AT ONE POINT! (lol)

for point #2, do you mean it's high or low? I'm not really sold on him at all.

edit: OK I read on. mtone's hate for J-Smoove is one of my favorite reoccurring themes of SE

also, no one said he was chris paul. im not saying TB is in the top rank of PGs. he's not. (BTW, KC, you doing round 3 summary like you did for round 2?)

Im saying of the PGs picked in the round ahead of him:
Miller
Baron
Calderon
Mookie
Cassell

I had TB rated higher than them all. I had Cassell as next best, then Baron, Mookie, Jose.

bobbo,

I haven't even finished reading the whole Brandon ordeal yet but I'll just say JoA is right on this one.

I think it's a good pick, but he's not some massive steal here. PER overrates him for the same reason it overrates Starbury (and no I'm not saying they're the same). He's a nice pick and fits your team with his 3-ball, I'll give you that.

I had Brandon higher than all of those guys also, and was surprised he dropped this far.

I agree with this 100%...I rated TB higher than all these guys...but honestly thought he would drop. Really good pick up Bobbo

Brad Miller is solid value imo, although I agree with the concensus that you're gonna suck on D.

I just want to point something out: most people were saying Marbury was a 4th round pick at best and some people said even worse, yet looking at the point guards taken recently in Blaylock, Cassell, Brandon, and Calderon(??) I don't think these picks have justified the critics at all. Marbury is a flat out better player than any of these guys and there is no question in my mind that at 24 if he was on a good team with players and a coach really interested in winning, and suited to his strengths, he would be way more highly regarded than he is now. In other words the guys picked after him were basically eithe rless talented and/or had injury issues or a short prime, neither of which apply to Marbury. I think Marbury, Porter, and Davis are all in a similar grouping. Davis in particular, aside from having the injury issues, is a great example of someone in a situation that maximizes his strengths, don't forget that in New Orleans he demanded a trade and was generally problematic in a losing envrionment. Does anybody not think that had he spent the last four years on the Knicks that he wouldn't be rated significantly lower?

Having said all of this, I will admit one thing, that it was probably a mistake to take a point guard at my spot in the second reound. Laimbeer and Rice were still available, both excellent players at their positions, and now that I know after the fact how much everyone personally despises Marbury, I very well may have gotten to pick him in this round. Besides that, there are still some good point guards out there who I think should have been picked already, especially over Brandon and Blaylock. Nevertheless, out of the choices available to me at point guard, I think that from a pure value standpoint the pick was certainly reasonable and certainly not deserving of the criticisms virtually everyone gave.

There is absolutely no way you can sell players or picks. Come on guys, that should be obvious.

I Brad Miller but dislike FaDi's team.

I like Franchise's team quite a bit.

Steroid Boy got absolutely hosed here imo. Franchise offered me something similar and I declined. The value of moving is highest in the earlier rounds, and theres a sharp drop off after round 5 due to only needing 5 starters.

just so I'm clear I think Bobbo got good value there but this MVP caliber season bs is making him sound a little ridiculous.
