Dying in a car crash is the definition of a freak injury. By your rules Drazen shouldn't be more likely to die in a car crash for this exercise than anyone else. If he had a 5th of JD in his blood and an 8ball on the dashboard than maybe we have something, but if not it just seems pointless to me.

Stop being so defensive btw, I wasn't calling you ******ed. Just stating that the entire discussion is dum dum.
I think AK47 is one of the least likely players to die in a car crash in this entire draft. I'd give you 50,000-1 odds that he doesn't die in a car crash in fact.

I am no doctor, but I have heard this a bunch (as well as once by a doctor) and believe it to be true (unless someone can correct me who knows what they are talking about), and that is that a broken foot actually heals better/faster than severe ankle sprains (this is actually what I was told when I sprained my ankle like 5 years ago by a doctor and I have heard this a bunch of other times as well).

But my whole point is the degrees of likeliness are so small that it doesn't really matter.

I mean if you want to say there is .0000001 % chance AK47 dies in a car crash thats fine, because I'm not expecting anyone else to either.

The guy who I would like to trade most with would probably be flyingmoose. I could give my 126 and 166 for his 135 and 141. Or I could give my 166 and my 6th rounder for his 141, although there'd have to be ONE SPECIFIC player left htat I'm targetting for me to do that.

SF TMac

C Mark Eaton

Would he really guard the 7ft 3 in 275lb Eaton? What if instead of Eaton I chose a big center who had a little better scoring skills(obviously I can't name names who havn't been drafted which is why I'm struggling for examples)?

On offense, I agree with you that it doesn't matter too much.

Basically what I'm getting at is that I would really like to play him at the 4(i.e. guard the other team's weakest offensive big man) but I'm concerned that with many of the stacked teams here hes either going to have to guard a very good scoring PF or a C who is physically much bigger than him. Will he be ok doing this? If so, then I'm extremely happy with my team because that allows me to draft another SF, which I think is a deeper position at this point in the draft.
assani, i never said he could guard centers, i said if possible he'd guard the weakest player 2/3/4 and just help out bigtime. obv he wouldnt be expected to hold back eaton. this is also why AK is not a 4, he has no chance against physical 4s or 5s. it's the pretty boy 4s that he can shut down. (for example, he'd be kryptonite against antawn jamison)anyon who relies on a midrange game is not going to score against andrei. anyone who relies on penetrating past big slow strong guys is simply never going to do that on him. it's guys who can back you down, hook/spin/upunder/whatever that will give him fits. there are enough of these that you may want to just adjust your lineup vs whomever you're playing

the big problem tho is those 5x5 came prior to 24, so here they just dont count

Ok, I see what you're saying now. The problem I have though is that I'm going to have to fill out my starting 5 before pick #166 and I don't pick again until pick #235. So my 5th starter is probably going to be significantly better than my #1 bench player. Therefore I need to play my starters a lot of minutes and I must choose between a PF or a SF to play alongside Kirilenko.

No one has taken my favorite player when I was a kid yet. He must have sucked or something. I'm disappointed.

I've been misquoted/words put in my mouth more in this thread alone than in all my other posts on 2+2 combined and it's not even close so I feel you assani.

funny pickup game story:

we were running 3s, and this dude named aaron (sick passer) is playing the post. someone comes over to double, and he steps through it, steps back, (stays on his pivot) does a little spin, then steps forward and shoots. while shooting, he yells out "MCHALE!" (and hits the shot). he doesnt read 2p2 imo

I wasn't saying that you said he 100% wouldn't blow out his knee, but you made many points about it being possible it never occurs.

I guess I just don't get the point behind the Drazen stuff. What makes him more likely to die in a car crash than your average NBA player? If i'm missing out on some key information as to why than just tell me and I'm sure i'll agree with you.

But if the reasoning is "well he died in a car crash" than I don't really understand.

Needs to be a car crash though not just have him die.
