Would you think that if I play a team with good SG/SF's that I could put Martin on the PG? I feel like he should have the speed to somewhat keep up with them especially when you factor in his length (he should be a good 5-7 inches taller than the PG). Plus PG's don't really post up at all.

I know Billups can guard most SG's very well too so I don't think moving him there on D would be an issue.
Heh, at first I read this as "playing the PG" position, and I wore a horrified look (only briefly, tho). I hate not being able to say players, but there were a couple teams (I think 2) where KMart did this, but the teams where he guarded the PG was an energy conserve type deal where 2 stipulations were met:
1. Opponents had a small SG so that the kings PG didn't have a mismatch
2. Opponents had a PG that didn't drive constantly, so Kmart's height was a huge advantage in contesting shots.

So, I think vs some teams you could do it, and it would be a great great game adjustment, but as a generality, you don't want him guarding the point.

edit: The kings had another really poor wing defender that saw playing time when Artest was suspended/hurt, so they used a decent amount of zone defense too.

like a, i dunno, john stockton

I would estimate Martin would look something like Farmar vs. Paul against a good PG, and could guard fairly effectively a decent amount of PGs in the NBA. however, in this super-league I'd estimate he'd have trouble with the top 30 or so (just eyeballing). after all, marbury has a SICK crossover

As someone who has watched Kevin a ton in college in the NBA, I'm not sure there are a lot of PG's I would trust him to guard.

My list is kinda wide open and I have nowhere near made a decision, which would obviously change with the next two picks.

aite cool ty, I will prob in general just end up putting him on the worst offensive threat out of the pg/sg/sf

again, just so im clear (I think i am, but repetition doesn't hurt!) these are my sentiments, that most pgs this is a mistake, but vs some it works great. (KLJ estimated 30 of your 39 opponents this would be a mistake, i have no idea the number, but it's probably more like 35 out of 39 this is a mistake)

Guys I have no clue on my pick, if Alex was online I might stay up to hack this one out but I dont really want to have to give a list of picks when Im not even certain at all. Hate to be the stopper to this great run of picks, but as Im a Euro at least my pick should be up early tommorow for you guys.

sorry guys - I still havnt decided who Im going with. So many options...I can go big at the 5 or smaller at the 2...I dont see a clear BPA right now...tbh - the BPA imo does not even play the 5 or 2 spot...and thats what Im in need of.

Since Alex is not even around - I guess Im not in a total rush...not tying to be an ahole - just want to make sure I make the correct pick...as this pick will most likely define my teams offense.

(gimme 20-30 minutes max)

ok guys - I will wait around til Alex shows up to make my pick...because Im waiting to see if Steroid Boy wants to accept my trade offer...so - whatever comes up first will dictate what I do.

If Alex shows up - I will post my pick...if Roid Boy respeonds to my PM then we'll take it from there immediately.

Alex is online too.

If you guys go fast, I'll likely still have time to either pick or trade. I've got about 30 mins.

Round 3 Pick 110
Richard Hamilton

I will edit the write up - just got the pick up right now.

In short - RIP is like a frickin energizer bunny...has better Stamina then Ron Jeremy and can create his own offense as well as be a recipient of a Chris Paul dime...hes a great finisher...and a great addition at the 2 spot. He fits into the run n gun style my team is going to be playing and brings 2 championships and 3 All Star games along with him.

And he is quite the opposite of Jamison...as his numbers actually dont tell the full story of how valuable of a player he is. Hes a very good slasher, one of the best mid range shots in the game, can get to the line and just added a deadly 3 point shot to his repetoire the last 3 years.

Im surprised he lasted this long in the draft and am really happy to be picking Richard Hamilton.

Will put up stats and everything when I edit this...just putting it up quick so Alex can make his pick.

Roster:
Chris Paul
Terry Cummings
RIP
