He was obv sick on the Lakers but no way does he go above Shaq, Lebron etc. imo

If we're talking getting him at 24, anything between 1 and 3 is reasonable.

between 1 and 3 meaning not 1 or 3, but 2? or is a greater than or equal to type deal? regardless, I think he slides in at 4.

between 1 and 3 as in #1, 2 or 3. #4 would = ridiculous steal.

Round 3 Pick 101: Al Horford

With PG and SG in place it's time to go big. What Horford may lack in height for a C at 6-10 he makes up for in wingspan and quickness. Adding Horford allows my team to continue to be versatile. He can fill the lanes on a Kidd fast break or help free Richmond and Kidd in the half court. His low post moves are developing quickly as is the range on his jumper. He brings a winning mentality on both ends of the floor which stems from the championship years in Florida. Horford arguably should have been the ROY this season after averaging 10 and 10.

Found this interesting tidbit on his wiki:
On May 1, 2008 he finished second in voting to player you've prob never heard of for Rookie of the Year.

On May 13, 2008, he was the only unanimous selection to the 2008 Rookie First Team.

Honors
2 Time NCAA National Champion
NBA Rookie First Team
NBA Rookie of the Year (In our hearts)...besides I have to keep up my ROY team

Team so far:
PG: Jason Kidd
SG: Mitch Richmond
C: Al Horford

FaDi on the clock....

btw, worthy of discussion, is Magic's HIV considered a fluke injury or a foregone conclusion? This could be important in his value.

How could he be a RIDICULOUS STEAL? You think it's "ridiculous" that he's "obviously" more valuable than LBJ or Shaq? I think it's obvious it's the other way around. Regardless, amazing player, and silly argument, so I'll just agree to disagree.

+1 wtf Horford????

It amazes me that you guys continue to reach even though it's clear tons of teams want to trade up and you can get a lot of value and not have to reach.

he's going to be boning lots of girls (or guys) w/o condoms, so depending on the era we play (80s or today) it needs to be considered he will likely end up with a std

I think it has to be a fluke in a way, although Magic did sleep with a ton of girls so he obv has a higher potential of getting it than others.

wow ew at Horford. Totally banking on that he will improve a lot... which is questionable. Basically you drafted a 10/10 guy in the 3rd round. w t f ?

Wilt Chamberlain never caught the bug, so I'm going with "fluke"

Ya 6th round pick is stretching it, but wtf 3rd round is stretching it just as bad. At BEST he is a mid-late 4th rounder (and probably is a early-mid 5th).

Kareem goes #1 or #2 imo if you get him as a 24 year old. Kareem vs MJ is a very interesting debate.

I mean, I guess its just that Kareem besides likely being the greatest offensive Center ever outside of Wilt also happens to be one of the best defensive players ever. Or maybe the part if you completely wiped out his play from age 22-29 and only considered him from age 30-41 he's still one of the best players of all time. Idk if it's possible to express the level of awesomeness that that is.

i mean, horford could become a really good PF - hell, he's already better than average - but the one thing he does really well (rebound) was the one thing you didn't need. yes, someone calling him a 6th round pick is likely absurd, he'd be gone by then, but this is similar to a Marbury or Battier reach. (would be around for sure the next round and possibly the round after if it swung down to you) anyway, scoring may be an issue for you, given neither kidd nor horford can even be considered a reliable #3 option, and even tho mitch can light it up, he's not a solid #1. also, although horford showed flashes of good defense, his play was terribly inconsistent there too.
