My god I can't believe these 2 players (especially one of them) is still on the board, it's tilting me so hard that no one will trade down with me ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE TAKING FREAKIN ROLE PLAYERS WITH THEIR PICK WHO THEY COULD GET 2 ROUNDS LATER (or at least a player who is similar) arggggggggggggggggggggggggg

Sabonis will come in when he enters the league therefore his value isn't nearly that high.

Sabonis was really good despite being old

Sabonis was great, but only played over 27 mpg in one season, and averaged about 24 mpg for his NBA career. You are getting half a great center.

his first yr in the league

24.7 PER
.617 TS%
Ortg 116
Drtg 97

i was hoping he would fall

its easy to find a C for like 20 mins to pair w/ arvydas

good, but injuries/aging limited his minutes as well as caused him to miss a fair chunk of games.

I think now is too early, though it certainly is a + to have him. Tbach will come up with something that means ankles/fat/old don't affect anything.

Sabonis would be the sickest pick in the draft so far IF u were getting him at age 24. I heard someone a while ago (don't remember where) saying he would have been the best center ever if he had played here for his whole career, and I think thats a ridiculous stretch but there is no doubt he'd be a top 5-10 center imo.

But since ur getting him at 31, it turns from a great pick to a terrible one imo it might be worse than the Bynum pick omg I said it. Yes he was still good, but he is def not closeeeee to 3rd round good. Plus he is only going to get worse, where as most of our 24 yearold players will continue to get better.

if you got 24 yo Sabonis he goes in the first / is a mega-steal anywhere in 2nd

definitely not the worst pick though you're insane

lol nah. i fully acknowledge that he played ~26 mpg his 6 seasons in the league (i'm ignoring the 7th because it was 15 mpg after taking a year off). what i'm getting a center than can hang with just about any other for 26 mpg and that's what i'll take. writeup coming soon, but i gotta eat my breakfast.

With Kemp and Sabonis, tbach has the fattest team in the league imo.

once you pick grant hill (who played well for 6 years) and shawn kemp (who's peak was longer, but i stopped liking him when he got fat), you pretty much plan your team out for 6 years

Let's not forget he did play more minutes in the playoffs.

I think there's quite a dropoff in productive centers after Sabonis, so you can't knock the pick too much. Those guys are getting snatched up like it's going out of style.

Who is worse? Off the top of my head the only 2 u could argue would be Bynum/Marbury, and honestly i'd much rather have Bynum than Sabonis, I really think the only one worse than Sabonis is Marbury.

epi you obviously never saw sabonis play if you are saying bynum is a better pick than him

sabonis>>>>>>>>>>>>>bynum

bynum has had .5 good years and just had 2 surgeries on his knees. Sabonis is a great center for 26mpg who can hang w/ anyone. There is no doubt in my mind if he came over after he was picked in the 1986 draft he would be one of the best centers to ever play

lol I saw sabonis play, read my explination on the other page. You are getting him when he's 31, not 24 (obv if u got him at 24 it would be the best pick in the draft).

I wouldn't call it sick production (relative to this draft that is). But ya obv he was good for 6 years, but he could only play limited minutes.
