It's not his exact age-28 season that matters here.... we're not cherry-picking individual seasons - a guy with 25 PER at 27, 20 PER at 28, and 25 PER at 29 is more valuable than a guy with 20 PER at 27, 25 PER at 28, and 20 PER at 29 (not saying that PER is the end-all and be-all of value, but you get the point I am making here).
