Does SJax get drafted? Interesting.
Yes, he projects to be an 8th rounder or so.

"Both" ??? I think the one who only has 1 will be hurt more because his scoring is arguably inefficient and his lack of a true position could cost a team that doesn't draft to his needs. (A big PG to defend SGs) But the other one "makes his teammates better," even though his peak will be later on

Also, not enough people are talking about epipen's pick, and I'd love to trash it, but I really can't. He picked well. I'm surprised he didn't take the small forward, but when looking a little deeper, it's a solid choice. Kinda neat Mchale's only below avg season was his last one (@35) when he was injured - 8 years of over 20 PER, a career PER of 20, and his peak was 28-33 (late peak, which is cool). He also came into the league at 23, where his PER was lowest, so he's all improvement for a solid 8 years until dropping off to still productive levels.
Also, his defense is tremendous, etc etc... In my view he's like a kevin garnett except not quite as good and white. (not as good BECAUSE he's white LDO) His GM skills could cost him tho

BTW, how bad is this pick if you get GM McHale along with player McHale?

So, is Grant Hill risky because of his annual injury issues? If I understand so, the answer is yes, but that something flukey like Robinson's lost season isn't really to be considered.

C'mon Clark.

Grant Hill should actually be discussed right now. He's a special case and Clark has a good question. Otherwise someone might pick him and then end up mad when we determine that his injuries counted.

he's not a 1-freak injury guy though. He's been plagued with injuries his whole career.

There are other examples too. Guys who are injury prone repeatedly (and there are a lot of guys other than Hill) I am assuming are dinged for it. Just as guys who stay healthy their full career (Stockton) get a benefit.

Gonna discuss some others because I think it's important to be clear.

BDiddy
TMac
Zydrunas Ilgauskis

All slightly different. Z is really odd because he was a disaster for like 4 years, then has been an iron man ever since.

Danny Manning?

If TMac wasn't injury plagued he would have been picked already

Why don't we just compile a list of every NBA player from 1980-present and put it in the thread, and cross names off the list as they get selected, just so everyone knows everybody left.

why don't you shake your hips a bit to get the sand out?

Oh stop. This is an important point. Listing those names has zero impact on things. None. Except that clarifying the injury thing may help people make more informed picks and there won't be tons of whining later on.

Clark, I think the other guys are pretty clear case of non-freak injuries. I thought Hill was a pretty special case because of ankle which he tried to play on and then ensuing staph infection. However, looking more carefully now it looks like he series of injuries so I'd say they should count.

Okay since we're dropping names, when does Dominique get taken? Probably within the next two or three picks after this post, amirite?

Haha you complain about people dropping names like Z and Baron Davis, then you name the one person everyone has been avoiding naming.

You bring absolutely nothing to the table.

Why name Nique? He is going within the next few picks, nobody is taking Baron or TMac right now--if they do, then good!--there is a reason a certain crop is being mentioned.

Yes, Dominique is about the 10th person named a few picks before being taken. Touche.

Oh well in that case, I guess I'll have to go undrafted and hope to make training camp as a non-roster invitee.
