Whats at stake

If the Giants win, the Skins will be eliminated from playoffs and the Giants will have a two game lead over the Cowboys with 4 games to play. At 8-4 the Giants would then be very much alive for a first round bye:

SF 8-3-1
Mia
@NE
@Sea
Ariz

GB 8-4
Det
@Chi
Ten
@Min

Chi 8-4
@Min
GB
@Ariz
@Det

NYG 8-4
NO
@ATL
@Balt
Phil

If the Redskins win then both the Redskins and Cowboys would be one game behind the Giants, and the Redskins would almost certainly have the tiebreaker(division record) should they end up tied:

NYG 7-5
NO
@ATL
@Balt
Phil

Wash 6-6
Balt
@Cle
@Phil
Dal

Dallas 6-6
@Cin
Pit
NO
@Wash

The last time they played

The Cheerleaders

Quote:
The Giants have no cheerleading squad since the team feels it would take away from the overall gameday experience.
LOL Giants

The Line

NYG -3(+106)
Was +3(-115)

NYG -146
Was +132

Over 50(+102)
Under 50(-113)

I'm pretty sure that's not true, unless you mean in practical terms and not statistically. Also where's the poll option for RG3?

yes, I had "for all intents and purposes" in parentheses at first but felt like it wasn't necessary to specify

I keep my polls simple and direct

This will be the second time the Giants have seen RG3. I thought they made some adjustments in the second half of their first game that slowed RG3 down. It will be interesting to see if Shanahan has an answer.

I am up 6 points and playing for a playoff bye tonight. Guy I'm playing has Garcon and Tynes. He will bench both for 25% of our league fee and one of them for 5%. Should I pay or just try to win anyways? I will be the 1 seed with a win and the 4 with a loss (unless RG3 and the Giants DEF get like 45 combined points which would make me the 5). A lot at stake tonight.

Really? The two videos above were in the second half. If RG3 wants to march down the field I'm confident he'll find a way. My only concern is the Redskins defense. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't. Sometimes Eli shows up, sometimes he doesn't. If the D is off and Eli is on the Redskins won't be able to keep up. But the Giants have had some of their worst games against the Skins the last couple years, so I'm hopeful.

You should not be a bitch and take your loss. Does your league not have rules against collusion?

If he suggested this to you first, then immediately report him to the commish and have him kicked out of the league. Its collusion and a clear example of outright cheating.

so those two plays should invalidate the halftime adjustments that were made that somewhat slowed him down?

I wonder what the actual reason for not having cheerleaders is. Money? Owners bitchy wife?

yeah i bet it's money or the owners' bitchy wives. it can't be that the owner thought cheerleaders are tacky and distracting and that the current owners wish to uphold that.

None of the above I'd imagine.

As of 2011, the only teams without cheerleaders are the Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers

Anyone care to predict realistic RG3 stats?

Tonights game is by far the biggest NFL game of the year for me.

31-17 Washington with Nicks staying out of the endzone.
ONE TIME!!

A Redskins loss today makes it a lot easier for me to find a side to root for next week though. Probably root for Redskins next week if they win today, but would suck if Ravens lose/Pats win and Ravens are no longer in control of destiny for #2 seed.

there is a precendent for adding money to deals. In the past there have been trades that went through the normal process and were not vetoed where it was a player + cash for another player. It has already been run by the commish. If you're playing for money using money as a sweetener is just part of the game bro.

He's also taking offers from the other side to play them.

wow the fact that you are not immediately telling the commissioner about this means you would probably offer the same deal to someone else. this isn't adding money to a deal, this is offering to tank for a reward. there's an enormous difference.

what do you mean bro? Commish has already okay'd it and the negotiations are taking place in an email chain that the whole league is involved in that is used for all fantasy related talk. one team had a firesale of players for real $ earlier this year.

edit: why does everyone assume this was all being done under the table?
