Personally think Rose and Oliveira are the better fighters, but stylistically think these matchups favor Esparza and Gaethje due to wrestling. I have no opinion on who will win but will be cheering for Rose and Gaethje.

I'm of the opinion that Ferguson should not be in the UFC and this fight should not be allowed to happen. Seems unlikely, but hope he proves me wrong.

As someone who bet $5 dollars on that Brazilian fella I feel personally wronged by the judges in that fight.

You think Gaethje would engage wrestling/grappling with Oliveira? I don't really see that.

I think if he wins it is just because he has power and Olives is chinny (also who knows how compromised Olives is with the hellish weight cut)

Maybe I'm overrating Rose but that fight against Esparza was a long time ago, if Zhang/Andrade couldn't really grapple with her then not sure Esparza can

No, the opposite. Gaethje's wrestling should enable him to keep the fight standing. If the fight ends up on the ground, Gaethje should be in deep doo doo.

I do think Rose is due for a submission win, albeit Esparza had never been submitted in the UFC so that's not an easy route.

yeah, we'll see

I think Gaethje's power is a little overrated tbh, people talk like he is the grim reaper at 155...He couldn't get Chandler out of there, Ferguson he hit flush about 150 times before that was stopped.

But not really sure what is going on with Olives if he couldn't make weight, have to think he killed himself given everything he had to lose

Fair play to Ferguson for showing up 1st round. That was a terrifying KO though. Unbelievable

this is the worst title fight in UFC history, makes woodley/wonderboy 2 look like hagler/hearns

I didn't think rounds 3 through 5 we're that terrible. But yeah still a terrible fight, but styles make fight and that's what we saw.

So happy Carla won just because I really want to see that fight run back again (mostly to lol @ the crowd booing).

Not nearly as bad as Derrick Lewis vs Ngannou or Severn vs Shamrock but yeah still probably top 5 worst of all time...at least among prominent fights.

Rose could've upped the pressure and got through easily imo, she basically shrugged off every TD

she seems like a bit of a headcase....probably tell UFC only strikers going forward

good call. hang it up tony or hang up on him UFC. mental illness plus brain damage. It's dangerous for himself and everyone around him.

Charles the #1 contendor? Just feels criminal and i hope the UFC gives him both a bonus and the ppv points regardless of the 0.5lbs weight miss.

I'm permanently out on Gaethje as a legitimate contender for the title. Dude just has wayyyyyy to many holes in his game.

Charles showed to have the better chin than Justin. Justin reverted a bit too much to Homer Simpson but if Charles has the better chin it doesn't really matter.

Another great win by Oliveira. With or without the belt, he's proven himself to be a great champ. However, he's still not the top guy at 155. He'll be a pretty decent underdog against Islam if that's the fight that happens next.

big loser was me, wanted to bet charles and got scared cause of the weight BS

gaethje nowhere close to him in skill, even when he drops him he can't follow him down

charles just way more complete skillset

Did he? I think the issue is more who has the better ability to recover.

If Charles gets dropped, Justin can't do anything with it and has to let him up. Justin gets dropped and Charles is on his ass

That was the clear difference to me and if that difference wasn't so massive, Gaethje would be the champ right now because he did most of the heavy landing the first few minutes

Gaethje got knocked down by a straight right. Really shouldn't even be getting dropped by that punch. But yeah, the fact that he can't be followed down is a big advantage.

Gaethje definitely fought with a lot of nervous energy. Should have paced himself more, not that it would have necessarily mattered.

Because? Oliveira is no joke on the ground, gluck to Islam beating him.

Dana confirmed that Oliveira did receive PPV points.

Hey, I'm not the oddsmakers, don't get mad at me! I always thought a guy with a strong submission game would have the best chance to upset Khabib. Stylistically, Charles will have the best shot of beating Islam, but that doesn't make Charles the favorite. I think the general thought is that Islam should be able to control him on the ground.

If Charles was to beat Islam, in my eyes, that would cement Charles as the greatest LW of all time. Some might think it could bring Khabib out of retirement. I don't see Khabib coming back, but it's fun to speculate.
