Derrick Lewis is one of the most entertaining and likeable guys in the UFC.

Seems obvious to me that Diaz v. McGregor and Tony v. Khabib with Conor fighting the winner next is the way they should go but I'm sure they find a way to screw that up. If Conor v. Khabib 2 happens next the betting line is going to be around Conor +275 or more lol.

For the diehard UFC fans Tony Khabib is the best match you can make period in ajy weightclass.

My opinion on JK is based on a number of things, first of all he's a grappler not a striker so conor's stand up is 0% down to him the guy barely knows how to throw a punch. He has 0 boxing or kickboxing background. If your main coach is a BJJ guy since you've been 15 you'd think he'd be better than a purple belt by now.

When he was asked about conor fighting at higher weight classes and how he would likely struggle (vs Woodley specifically) he said "if you get into a bar fight you don't go over and ask the guy what weight he is". This is only 1 of about 10 ******ed comments he's made about weight classes.

When he was asked about training specifically for a certain opponent he said they don't do any real specific training, they just try to focus on letting conor do what he does best. All this "the opponent doesn't matter... it's just another blank face.. bruce lee be like water" mumbo jumbo that he likes to spout may sound good to him but it sets of the fraud alarm to anyone with a brain. Ignoring that your opponent has a very specific and high level skill is at best naive and at worst a sackable offence.

I can understand plenty of fighters/camps simply won't have access to high level guys in specific areas because that discipline isn't a big deal in their part of the world I.E wrestling in Ireland but Conor has the resources to bring in almost anyone he wants. There's just no excuse to not have a top pound for pound wrestler in your camp when you're going up against the best in MMA. Amateur wrestlers make dog**** money, if Conor offered Burroughs 250k to train him for a year I doubt he ever turns it down and he's just one of 20 guys who would drastically improve his grappling with regular work.

Conors cardio is dog**** because he loves to party/blast coke in the off season. I live in Dublin and he's not shy about it. JK has zero control over him because he pays the bills and then some.

Didn't know the UFC can just ignore the athletic commissions, is that just nevada only?

Also Pettis didn't break his hand. He just didn't want to get beat up anymore.
Medical suspensions (even the longer ones) don't mean that much -- they are basically saying "don't do X until you get medical clearance". In the UFC, you require medical clearance before each and every fight anyway, and the suspensions a lot more relevant for smaller promotions where this might not be the case.

These trainers are bull****ters. They're not going to reveal their actual training methods and strategies. What is there to be gained by giving people he might fight a way to train more effectively? Not saying that JK is smart but I would take comments like those with a grain of salt.

That said, he could have chosen to lie without making himself look like a complete moron.

Earlier in the year, DC was also considering defending his LHW belt against Shogun (but no actual contenders), so he must be okay with what he perceives as gimmie fights. Stipe will be very annoyed, since he was calling for a rematch basically every time DC's name came up, and DC wasn't into it. $$$ though. I like DC but I want Black Beast to win because that will be more fun, and I don't care about DC-Lesnar at all.

DC sees Black Beast as an easy fight which for DC, it is. Unless DC gets caught by one of those crazy right hands, it should be a cakewalk. Lewis will only have a month inbetween fights ffs. If I was Stipe, I'd be pissed too.

But yeah totally cheering for The Black Beast. I want that post-fight interview!

I think it is more about money.

UFC didn't wanna risk Nate as headliner because who knows if he will show up or not. So you make DC the main and grease him for it.

After his loss vs Diaz they openly spoke about how they were changing everything to train more specifically. They brought in southpaw boxers who were all 6ft+ and had 20lbs on Conor to help him prepare as well as focus on his conditioning. They should have been doing similar in this camp but with high level wrestlers but it's back to just winging it and hoping Conor can land a left hand.

He's also said **** like Ben Shapiro is the intellectual heavyweight champion of the world. Not sure if you know who Ben is but i'm sure some of the american posters will.

Dustin Poirier out

UFC is becoming such a **** show.

- Brawl after fight ends at UFC 229
- JJ vs Valentina gets canceled only for a dumb fight in Eubanks vs Valentina to be booked & then they take away the fight to rebook JJ vs Valentina in Dec once they get a wierd main event for MSG.
- Poirier injured and out vs Nate Diaz fight, i'm not even sure if it's an actual injury or they just want Mcgregor to redeem himself & book him quickly in another fight because he's blowing up Dana's phone.

**** it, gonna keep my goof-foil hat on and assume that Porier just cleared a solid check since even the UFC realized they can't hold Tony is escrow while Khabib and Conor run it back so he'll either fight Khabib while we get Nate/Conor III or he'll get Nate (lol).

Either way, Porier was the odd man out.

Was DC/Lewis booked knowing Poirier would be out?

Not sure who Nate will fight now but can't imagine he is taken off that card as his comeback was the main attraction.

DC -800 vs Lewis fwiw

Nate diaz says he will wait for Khabib, smh. No way should he springboard Ferguson. Nate should definitely go after the Mcgregor fight.

Dc vs Lewis in 3 weeks is absurd. Dc going for that easy win and money. Lets hope gaethje or Kevin lee steps in for Diaz.

Smart move tho if he can get it. After Khabib beats him, he can still get the McGregor 3 fight.

Getting beat by a Poirier or Kevin Lee kinda makes that harder.

Nate will always have Conor III tho, and depending on the result of Conor's next fight, Conor may actually need him more than usual.

Cormier-Lewis, ughhhhh, what a lol waste of time. Lewis got completely clowned by guys like Mitrione, Volkov, and Travis Browne. Won't be remotely competitive, who the **** wants to see fights where one guy has zero chance except for a hail mary punch? So ****ing dumb.

It's amazing to me how the UFC is still pretty profitable considering how it's literally always a trainwreck dumpster fire

He doesn't even have that chance of beating DC. DC have taken hard shots from both Stipe & Rumble, Lewis has 0% chance of winning.
