IDK how many fights Conor has left on his contract, if it's 1 or 2 he should just try and get through them but if he loses the Floyd fight is done. He could have had 1 fight under his belt already.

I believe he has 4 fights left on his deal. Pretty sure Dana has said that.

That's a lot obviously. Tough to go like Ferguson/Diaz/Aldo/GSP/? without any losses.

4 fights is a lot left. Yeah, I doubt he can get through 4 fights unbeaten at 155. If he lost to GSP or woodley I don't think that matters bc it's a giant weight up.

Obv $$ route for IMG/UFC is

Diaz vs Tony for Interm this Spring
GSP vs Bisping in June/July

If GSP wins then
GSP vs Conor in Canada at 170 while Conor tries to lock up Floyd deal.

If Nate wins interim then Conor faces Diaz around end of 2017 or early 2018 for belt.

If Tony beats Nate then he gets stuck fighting Khabib in the fall.

Also Nick Diaz vs Woodley for the belt obv

“And if that’s what Conor wants to do, he’s got four fights left. He’s got four fights left with the UFC. Fight your four fights and, you know, go out and do what you want to do.”

When I faced Arturo Gatti, I went to his turf,” Mayweather said. “He was the A side, I was the B side. I beat him, I didn’t cry, I didn’t complain. When I faced Oscar De La Hoya, he was the A side, I was the B side. I didn’t cry, I didn’t complain, I beat him and I became the A side. For Conor McGregor, I’m coming out of retirement, just to fight Conor McGregor.

“I don’t want to hear no more excuses about the money, about the UFC. Sign the paper with the UFC so you can fight me in June. Simple and plain. Let’s fight in June. You’re the B side, I’m the A side. We’re not here to cry about money. I’m tired of all this crying about money and talking about you want to fight. You blowing smoke up everybody’s ass. If you want to fight, sign the paperwork, let’s do it.

“Today, I’m officially out of retirement for Conor McGregor. We don’t need to waste no time. We need to make this s**t happen quickly. Let’s get it on in June.”

Why should Nick Diaz get anything close to a Title fight?

Because he had a nice win in 2011.

He might be the biggest star in the UFC right now.

The UFC doesn't care if you deserve a title shot, they care if you can sell PPVs unless you're a pathetic loser like CM Punk

Fun fact: Nick Diaz/Anderson Silva in January 2015 is the last time a UFC PPV sold more than 500k buys that didn't include 1 of CM, Ronda or Lesnar on it.

200 goes over 500k even if Lesnar wasn't on that card but still

What kind of buys did, silva/wiedman 1 and 2 have?
The MMA Thread Quote

Silva/Weidman 2 did 1m buys but Miesha/Ronda was also on that card

1st 1 did 550k

Also GSP's last fight with Hendricks only did 625k which was lower than all of his fights since Jon Fitch

T-Mobile Arena is "on hold" for the 10th of June. Could be nothing, but still, Floyd said he wants to fight in June.

Floyd wants this to happen in June. That's not just Floyd wanting a fight, he always has an angle to his fights. He knows Mcgregor is having the child in May so it may distract Conor's focus. Floyd fought Pac when he had an injury, always trying to gain an edge.

However, I see a flaw in Floyd's strategy here. This fight sets Conor's family up for life so I see no reason Conor won't be able to devote 90 percent of his time to this.

Still wondering what Dana White's thoughts are, hope he's not gonna be a ***** about the fight. Conor hasn't posted anything in days so hopefully he's currently negotiating the fight.

LOL at thinking Floyd needs an angle to beat Conor. Absurd.

Also, Floyd new Paq had an injury when they scheduled the fight 3-4 months in advance?

He doesn't need it, but Floyd will look for any edge he can.

"Sign the paper with the UFC" = "Sign the lopsided contract that ****s you out of tens of millions"

I wonder what kind of PPV split mayweather offered, since it's definitely not 50:25:25 Floyd:UFC:CM. It's probably something like 75:20:5 or something with base guaranteed purses for Floyd and CM

It's probably like 100:30:?. Conor wanted like 100 lmao but maybe he'll settle for 50 or something. Again, Dana White is gonna want a big chunk too.

Well, it's either that, or good luck dealing with UFC's lawyers for the next couple of years, while Mayweather won't fight you again. And then Conor has to face horrible match-ups in the UFC, while making way less money. 40-50m from the Floyd fight should be a red panty night for Conor.

I'm sick of the whole circus. Can we get on with the ****ing MMA. The whole thing is an angle from McGregor like he's bigger than the UFC. Fight never ever happens.
