Judges Sal D'Amato and Tony Weeks scored rounds one, three and five for St-Pierre. Glenn Trowbridge scored the first, second and fourth for Hendricks.

some people here need to take a chill pill.

This was a poor decision, but it wasn't a massive conspiracy, riggage, or even one of the worse decisions this year imo.

Hendricks was the better fighter tonight clearly. But you don't get judged on 'better fighter', you get judged on rounds. Hendricks won 3 out of 5 rounds. GSP won 2 out of 5. That's what I think, but if you win 3-2 on rounds, then you are at high risk of losing the decision anyways because that **** happens

Whenever you win 3 out of 5 rounds in a sport like MMA, you are always leaving the door open to allow this to happen, and often it does. Especially fighting a beloved longtime champ in his hometown. And when at least one of the rounds you won was reasonably close, and where the crowd screams every time GSP lands a punch. Hendricks should have won, but this isn't anywhere near 'massive robbery'.

TLDR - If you win 3-2 on rounds but at least one of them is close, it's not a massive robbery when you lose a split decision. It's just a garden variety poor decision. This kind of **** happens at least once an event on the undercard, and usually in a worse way.

huh, for some reason i would swear it was in montreal. guess i assumed wrong.

still, i think the larger point stands. 3-2 with any round reasonably close isn't something you can complain too much about. complain some but not LOL SPORT IS RIGGED level.

gsp has supposedly either mental illnesses or brain damage...

:/

sport's not rigged, judges are just nuts. so many people are trying to log on to mmadecisions.com to look for the media scores (all 15 say hendricks 48-47) that the site's database is down.

GSP hasn't fought in the US since the Dan Hardy fight, so it's an easy assumption to make.

And all those damn Canadian flags in the crowd.

+1 imo

Hendrix had a better fight then GSP because Hendrix clearly win 2 rounds and GSP only 1.

Now 2 rounds could of been for either side imo and usually if a round is tie it goes to the champ i guess ?

Did Hendrix clearly win 3 rounds, no way.

Imo this fight was far from rigged but very very close, like gustafsson and jones.

Both fight were like draws cause no one were winning 3 clear rounds and draws should favor the champ and not the runner up.

The runner up should beat the champ, not just drawing to win the belt.

ps: for those who think the more damaged fighter is the automatically loser.
If all the damage on the face of GSP came only in the 2 rounds hendrix won, then cut means nothing .
It is not about how bad the guy is cut or damaged but how many round you win.

I got Hendricks as biggest pussy alive for coming out and laying down in round 5 like he had it won.

I don't think there is much disputing Hendricks won round 2 and 4, GSP won rounds 3 and 5.

Basically the fight came down to the 1st round. I thought the 1st was a draw and could have gone either way. The judges saw it 2-1 in favor of GSP. I don't think that is unreasonable.

If it was a street fight Hendricks won. But I don't think he did enough to dethrone a champ in the ring. There needs to be a rematch. Hendricks deserves it.

I was sure I saw Hendricks tap here. For about 2 second I thought it was over. I thought GSP let him out because of the tap. I have not seen a replay but I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw it.

It really looks like Hendricks taps out because he can't breath...

nah no tap otherwise GSP would have at least mentioned it somewhere along the line. Jones/Gus was not close imo Jones murdered him but yes he got clobbered also. Hendricks also dominated like a mofo here also

Maybe Hendricks just wanted to feel the tautness of GSPs glutes

I think the most telling thing is GSP would NEVER let it go that fast if he 1) thought he had it in deep enough to actually choke Hendricks out, especially without the ref stepping in... and 2) I guess an extension of 1, he kept fighting because he didn't think anything of, obv. People all over claiming he made him tap.

Nope. No way. Nuh uh. Not a chance.

It's funny, I had the bout scored 48-47 Hendricks (1,2,4), but thought the judges would prob find a way to score it 48-47 GSP because loljudges. I figured they'd derp and give em the 2nd... yet they find a way to give him 1?! Okay...

All makes sense now.

So I was in Ottawa, Ontario in a bar watching this fight, and when GSP won the fight the whole place went bananas. Listening to people talk after the fight I'm pretty sure there's a direct correlation between how long you've been in Canada and how sure you are GSP won that fight.

Also, wow, Dana White just blasting GSP in the post fight conference. Just saw it.

Well, blasting the judges for saying GSP won, anyway. Not blasting GSPs effort or character or anything.

Of course he'll sound like he has brain damage after taking the punches that Johny was throwing.

Saw this this morning. Definitely a new low from Dana who when GSP showed up went from ripping him to very mild and then started cutting off any journalists that tried to ask Georges about what Dana said. He embarrassed himself imo.
