That angle looks like it, but the one they showed at another angle it almost looks clearly as if the knee just goes threw his hair and that was it. But I mean that is still close enough that it could have made slight slight contact. But the other angle definitely makes it look like a complete whiff minus hair

God Kos is such a vagina, I cannot wait to watch GSP turn his face into hamburger.

With the ongoing saga of UFC-signed talent declaring they’ll never fight each other due to friendship, newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua has provided a fresh breath of air on the controversial subject. And in doing so, may have opened the door for a megabout with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, an old friend and former teammate at the legendary Chute Boxe academy in Curitiba, Brazil.

Appearing on ESPN2’s MMA Live just moments after his title-clinching stoppage of Lyoto Machida at UFC 113 in Montreal, “Shogun” was blunt when asked by host Jon Anik if he would fight the fellow Brazilian.

“Yes, of course. I’m a professional fighter,” said Rua

Anderson v Shogun would be ridiculously awesome. Just go ahead and sign them to a best of 7, please.

That is such a stupid criticism of GSP. Part of MMA is ground game. The people who want only punching should just stick to boxing. This is MIXED-martial arts. GSP is one of the best wrestlers in the sport so of course he wins with his strengths.

By this same criteria Royce Gracie was not a good MMA fighter.

Don't forget the extended timeout for Kos to get another acting award.

I know he is. But that is essentially what GSP does. Of course it's more complex than that, but still.

And that's what Koscheck did last night, and wants to do really. And that's what Jake Shields does. And that's what Lesnar did to Mir. And what a lot of guys like to do...

It's all part of the game. Not sure if this GSP/Koscheck rematch is going to be a boring wrestling match, or if they'd both be willing to trade shots in the standup. They both might think they have the advantage on their feet, who knows.

/out b4 some MMA-head tells me how stupid I am

I think GSP-Koscheck will look nothing like GSP's last 3 fights. He's fighting a top shelf wrestler unlike hardy/alves/penn.

Kos knows he has no chance in a standup fight with GSP, GSP has top 5 standup in the division but has the best wrestling in the sport, so he uses that.

OMG Kimbo got knocked out what a surprise.

Big fail on the ref's part in the main event. Shogun knocked him the **** out and got the result he deserved in the first fight, fortunately he didn't let it go to judges this time.

Just because GSP is better at standup than josh doesnt mean he has 'no chance' in a standup fight.

People like to think fighters are invincible (ex. machida pre rua), but they're not.

I'm re-watching the Daley/Koscheck fight and lolololololol

"You get nervous?"
"No, I was just saying that to be nice"

GSP would dominate koscheck on the ground. koscheck barely did anything when he was on top of daley. GSP would have systematically dismanted daley.

GSP-Koscheck doesn't interest me at all and I'm a huge GSP fanboy. There is no appeal there. None.

Koscheck sucks. That whole division sucks.

Obviously no chance is overstating it, but GSP has much better standup than Kos and much better than most people realize. I don't think anybody feels GSP is invincible after that Matt Serra fight. Anybody can get KO'd and Kos definitely hits hard enough to do so but if he doesn't KO GSP he has no chance in a standup, he can't outpoint him in any regard.

And Geddy if you think Koscheck sucks you are completely out of your mind, that division is incredibly talented. Thiago Alves is a monster, Jon Fitch has lost 1 fight in the UFC and that was to GSP, Paulo Thiago has heavy hands and a sick submission game. Koscheck also gave GSP his toughest fight since the Serra loss.

Meh.

GSP won't have a generic lay and pray 25 minutes win vs Koscheck. That interests me. Daley-GSP would've been bascially the same fight as GSP-Hardy.

The division does 'suck' though relative to GSP.

There's a phrase I used right before I said "Tito Ortiz". "Declining fighters with big names". It's still fun to have Tito around.

I disagree. Koscheck gave him the closest fight of anyone he's ever faced. Kos took him down and won a round, and very easily could have won the entire fight if GSP doesn't pull a superhuman sprawl out of nowhere. If Koscheck finishes that takedown, he beats GSP 29-28 on all cards and there is no prolonged GSP title run.

GSP is still a big favorite, but Koscheck has come closer than anyone else to equalling GSP in the UFC.
