Unfortunate because Ben Henderson vs. Clay Guida on the undercard was a scorcher of a fight. But it's MMA, crazy 40 second knockouts happen

In 2012 they will have nearly full cards for these events, it will eventually work out decent for them. It was free on FOX people won't feel that cheated, 40 minute pre game, 10 minute post game not the worst thing ever.

Also lets me get back to the Stanford Oregon, and now the Pac fight.

I think the worst case scenario was some gruesome injury that makes random viewers question whether it should be on network TV during primetime. This is a letdown for UFC, but for fans it was a complete freeroll because this whole card would've been a PPV but all the fights were completely free between facebook and fox.

So what? Heavyweight fights rarely see the end of the first, which is fine except this was so poorly constructed that on arguably the biggest show in ufc history they're left with their dick in their hands for half an hour

Don't get me wrong, I didn't find the fight disappointing, but the objective is to latch on to a broader mainstream audience, and random person who's watching ufc for the first time cuz it's a massively hyped fight on network tv comes away from that thinking 'lol that's it?' bad night

WTF was that. They only show 1 fkn fight. Ive been looking foward to the guida henderson fight forever and they dont even show that. That was fkn ******ed. Whats the point of showing one fight? I dont get it

Why Heavies?

Give me one good reason that you would choose Heavies for one of the biggest fights in determining the future growth of the sport, please.

Why not negotiate for an extra hour of time and show, say, four or five match-ups that are more likely to produce long, exciting fights?

Have you completely forgotten Griffin/Bonnar?

You just took one of your biggest PPV draws (among existing fans) and threw it away trying to gain new fans, ignoring the very real possibility that this would end in the first round one way or the other and casual fans would collectively go "meh".

Check your reading comprehension. No one is complaining that it was a quick fight - everybody loves a flash KO - but choosing a fight that could easily end that way for your big network debut was silly, as was not having a backup fight lined up and ready to show in case that happened. MMA's big one hour debut on network tv was a one minute fight. How many new fans do you think the UFC got last night?
