Wonderboy has a 58-0 kickboxing record. He might not be the same now due to his age though.

Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today. I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!
Conor with a retirement tweet apparently

Just need Dana to tweet "Happy Trails" and it'll be certain that he's fighting in two weeks.

Dana being passive aggressive. Clearly negotiations just didn't go well.

Surprised media is covering it like it is news.

Does anyone actually believe that he's retiring?

I hope he doesn't retire but i mean he has nothing more to prove. His goals were always to be a double champ and be a millionaire and he has achieved his dreams already. If he does retire then i hope we see him in the WWE.

Of course he isn't retiring, negotiations just hit a snag because he wants more money.

There are tons of guys he can fight and would be a good fav against that he could sell over 1m PPV's....Diaz, Pettis, Cerrone. Piorier perhaps as well if he beats Max.

Probably just stay inactive for a while and build his Whiskey up then comeback later. No need to take a loss right now with his Whiskey sales humming.

Has anyone actually tried his whiskey? It's surprisingly cheap (~$30) but reviews seem mixed.

It would be so stupid if wanting him to co-main because its not a title fight is the reason for the hold up in him agreeing a fight. Apparently dana said recently that the two main events against diaz were different because he was a champion at the time.

His tweet said he's retiring from "Mixed Martial Art" with "art" being the operative word. Probably just sick of training BJJ and will only fight strictly strikers who will stand and bang from now on.

NYT saying that police in ireland investigation sexual assault claims against him. But that has been around since Dec/Jan so not sure it had anything to do with the retirement news.

If he's retiring from MMA maybe he'll give boxing a try

Love how Floyd kissed his glove.

I'd watch Conor box for the lolz. Though he'd probably be a superstar in WWE.

I hope I'd be smart enough to retire completely if I were in Conors position. The only meaningful changes to his life from continuing to fight will be more brain damage.

While CM is my favorite fighter, IMO he hasn't really proven anything really, He beat Aldo which was good and that's it. He got choked out by a guy taking a fight on short notice, then probably would have lost to that guy again if the fight was 1 more round, and got crushed by Khabib.

Out of curiosity, why would you like to see him in the WWE ? Because of the trash talk ?

Surprised Nate never got back into the cage after the 2 McGregor fights. Doesn't look like he is going to anytime soon either.

Yes, i have his theatrics and he would take over the promo game in the WWE. Not to mention that the WWE would clearly pair Mcgregor with Becky Lynch, who's also Irish and has quite the mouth on her as well & i'd love to see them together.

I think an issue with him and WWE is he is pretty small compared to most of their wrestlers. Not as easy a transition as Ronda and Brock.

He might do something with them in terms of an event or appearance but I doubt he would be close to full time like Rousey is.

I think his theatrics would do well in off-broadway Shakespearean theater
