Last year's ATL squad would be way more suited to this type of match. Doesn't seem like this group is very sharp on the counter.

I think the addition of Brek Shea is more detrimental to the team than the loss of Almiron. Its incredible just how bad he is. Literally tanking what was an incredible team

Didn't see the game, just caught the score on the way home

So Monterrey is apparently REALLY good, and it doesn't look likely that Atlanta without Miggy can post a +3 result?

Extremely unlikely. MTY have yet to yield a goal in 3 CCL matches and are giving up less than a goal a match in Liga MX play. They are very organized.

The problem is that with how much ATL would have to open themselves up to even get 3 goals, they're very likely to be countered, and if they give up a goal then it's basically over.

I was kinda hoping ATL could make it a little closer so that the match in Mercedes-Benz would be super hyped. I wonder if interest will die down a lot now that it seems the tie is nearly over.

Yea I wanted to see how ATL would react to a proper CCL match against one of the best sides in Mexico (imo THE best) but the tie is completely over now

WTF, rumors surfacing that Lyon want to be bring back Remi Garde for next season? That would **** up both of my favorite clubs. He's a decent MLS level coach and it's cool that he can bring a few of Lyon's scraps to IMFC, but surely Lyon should be thinking bigger. Garde hasn't really done jack with his bigger opportunities.
