My chilanga friend is furious and says the own goal was offsides. I didn't see a good angle, was it a legit goal?

It was close but looked legit to me.

I think it's more surprising to see refs not err to the extreme on the side of the home Mexican team in these games. I thought the ref tonight was awesome. Waved play on a bunch of times too when Mexicans tried to dive and roll around

Yah, penalty probably wasn't clear cut either. He had his back to the goal and arm was in a fairly natural position. I think he threw Tigres a bone b/c he knew it was a mostly meaningless goal. Might have been different if the scoreline was already 3-2 when that happened.

Not close to offside. Not just being a homer here, but he looked onside by a good 3+ feet, it may have only 2 though if you remove my bias.

This 2nd half is gonna be insane. Sounders had to burn 2 subs early on and are already defending for their lives. I imagine a few guys are gonna be exhausted/cramping at this elevation (slightly less than Denver I believe). Maybe we'll get a 1-0 and penalties.

América may have been even freer. lolDallas for somehow not advancing against Tauro, but it was probably for the best.
