not being results oriented after one match...but looking at that Minnesota roster - they're probably the worst team in MLS, yes?

^ some people think they could be one of the worst teams of all time

The quality of the league I think is going to sneak up on people .... more teams are mining Argentina for players.

Minnesota defense made some god awful plays in the back. They better get their **** together or it's going to be a long season. It's one thing to get broken down but entirely another to give up scoring chances on dumb fouls and shaky passing in the back

My GW1 strategy was to fade Minnesota and it worked to perfection and that will be my strategy all season so yea they're awful

---

As for the supporters discussion I'm def RBNY due to locale but they haven't figured out that winning the regular season like an actual football league is -EV and get bounced in the playoffs every year. As far as fun teams to watch go I really like watching Portland I think. I'll be checking them out on MLS Live as much as I can

i didn't look at it very closely at all, but what's so special about the Orlando stadium?

looked about like every other ss box at quick glance

^ the one end looks like continuous safe standing which is unique for this league

Ain't nothing wrong with ss box's. Been to RB Arena and Union grounds and both are a great place to watch a soccer game (Union WOAT location aside). Plus safe standing is a really cool way to go. Is Orlando the first/only MLS stadium that has it?

Orlando doesn't seem very good imo

ya i mean anything was wrong with it per se, was just legitimately curious if there was anything to all the praise i was seeing, given that it looked quite standard at first glance
(wonder how many ppl could guess if they saw random pics in black&white)

Union woat location? isn't that the one down by the river under the bridge?
looks p sweet on tv

Exactly. Sounds pretty good in theory. But bugs, breeze (wind), smell, and in the ghetto of Chester, PA = WOAT of WOAT

Did Wright-Phillips formerly play at Manchester United?

All I know about soccer is from video games lol

no, he played briefly at Manchester City, and at Southampton

but you're probably thinking of his half-brother Shaun, who played at Manchester City & Chelsea

edit: wow, he's now at Phoenix Rising FC of USL lol

Wat? No

There was a Shawn Wright Phillips who "played" at Manchester City (pre-sheik) and Chelsea but not Utd. Bradley Wright Phillips of RBNY def didn't play at Manchester United

PS too late to run an MLS PEEHS??

Heh I definitely don't know enough about soccer to come up with compelling questions for a PEEHS contest

You can do it next year!
