Standard soccer win bet (except Chicago obv) so a draw is a loss

I do a little...laying chalk in MLS on favorites is not a long-term path to profits. way too much inconsistency in this league.

san jose +180 (or PK EV) s/b the lock of the weekend. Minnesota can only beat the Crapids from what I've seen.

Seattle -160
LA -129
Montreal -110
Orlando -125
Columbus -119
Chicago +1 -113

I'm on them, so run the other way
It looks OK, but the only one that strikes me as having great value is Orlando. I fully expect Seattle to win but the price reflects that.

betting San Jose on the road is not a profitable venture. For that matter, the same goes for Chicago, but might be worth a flyer on Dax's return to Red Bull Arena and BASTIAN's first game in New York(I mean Harrison).

I completely get this and don't plan on laying chalk all season. But I think because of the parity in MLS you get a break on the pricing sometimes too. I'm not claiming to be smarter than Vegas by any means and I'm sure to get rolled this weekend. But there are some bad teams in MLS and when the better team is playing a bad team at home I expect the price to be higher which is why it represents value.

I've done a decent job at keeping up with MLS this year for the first time. Even moreso than teams it's very easy to tell which players are actually good and stand out in this league (GOATing MLS Fantasy) but going to start trying my hand at betting the actual teams that standout as well.

I know RBNY finally abandoned that stupid 4-2-2-2 and are playing much much better but I still think they're more likely to draw or lol lose to a half decent team than they are to win by 2 goals, which is why the bet is worth a punt imo

Good update on several different expansion markets from SI:

Had no idea St. Pete/Tampa was the 11th largest media market. And San Diego is going to have a strong push with Landon Donovan as the public face.

Montréal's # doesn't include Dzemaili yet, but still kinda disappointing that one of the richest owners doesn't spend a whole lot on salaries.

FYP

Biello seems hesitant to trust anyone young or local, so I'd be ecstatic to see just 1 starting.

betting on liga mx is even better. tonight i bet on a home team thats ML was +275 and won. i find lots of dumb lines all the time. also betting the under on 2.5 goals in our league is the way to go, especially this late in the season when half the teams are fighting to make the playoffs and the other half is fighting not to get relegated.

Whitecaps are such an embarrassment

going with the same defensive lineup that got crushed in Portland last week, and gets crushed basically always
(they about never win away, partly because they always try to park the bus, but really suck at it)

like their entire plan is basically to fluke a result, or grind out 0-0 until 15 minutes left and then kinda try to go for it, but not really tbh

Lol Impact if it's not at least 3-0 for them

I'm on the Impact so gogogo!

Also major slow pony but I don't think I realized Montreal got a new stadium (tbf this could have been multiple seasons ago idk) but it looks absolutely fantastic on tv.

no worries, definitely have the kind of lineup out there to get em back in it

oh wait, they'll be lucky if it isn't 0-3 by HT

LOL me 4eva. The only time I've seen Montreal home games are the glimpses when they played RBNY if I happened to catch it on tv. Does it have a roof? Or did they get new turf or something? Or maybe my last recollection of it is 9 years ago

I know it took a deflection but the Whitecaps keeper was worse on the MTL goal

they've played a lot of their bigger games at the Olympic Stadium (yes, a dome), which is probably the issue here
