he seems like a player who would be better on a good team

defending deep on one of the worst possession teams in the league not exactly a fit with his skill set

but also he just wasn't as good as i hoped/expected

but my expectations heading in were only like "someone who occasionally reminds me of pedro morales / looks like he doesn't belong in this league", and we never really got there

but there were some flashes

for the 3 people that care, there was an actual MLS game played at a MLS stadium 2nite...in front of some fans. nashville gets their first franchise win.

idk we may get a mls season after all.

lots of games this week including el trafico on saturday. i guess it's going to be canada vs. canada and usa team vs. usa team for a long time.

also is ligue one really starting week or will it get covid-19ed? i know a lot of mls regs also follow ligue one so better to ask here I reckon.

Yah, Ligue 1 is supposedly going off this week.

VWFC is so bad it's embarrassing. They're routinely +600 to +800 on the betting lines. Giving up 75% possession and getting outshot 20-3 and it's not even like TFC are world beaters. They have the fat, useless version of Jozy and Akinola is out. I thought MLS was supposed to be about parity. Might need to bust out relegation for VWFC, there are a couple CPL teams who would be more competitive.

Having said that, now they'll grab a win vs the Impact.

yeah more than vwfc being trash no matter what they do, kinda madder that there isn't a cpl team in the vancouver area to care about instead
(there was supposed to be one in year 1 or 2, but then last i checked they were like uhhh, maybe 2022 or something??)

did mls block that or something?
like montreal doesn't have a team either, do they?
is that york team in toronto or nah?

seems like fredy montero might be on the move somewhere, as they left him at home for these games against tfc & imfc

he was apparently bought down from a dp player, so that should make him easier to move

and then also the open dp spot they have, but they'll prob take their sweet ass time with that, as usual

already in wait til next year mode it seems lol

What do you mean? You have Pacific FC, which is super close to Vancouver. Quebec doesn't have a team, but I think Quebec City is supposed to get a team soon. The York team is in the Toronto metro.

pacific fc is on an island (so like 5-6 hours away), and have no tv deal

was gonna go to a game in year 1, but that fell apart

TFC/VWFC was so exciting that we get to see it again on Friday. I think this one will have a ton of goals in it though. VWFC were so embarrassing that dos Santos will go back to their pressing style, but they just aren't good enough and will give up tons of goals. 5-2 TFC imo

I guess it's rivalry weekend. Got 4 of them tonight.

El Clásico at 6PM EST being the main one. I guess they're calling ATL/Nashville a rivalry now. Also FL rivalry and Rocky Mtn.

Chicharito and Jona Dos Santos are both questionable and Vela is back, so I'd expect that one to be a bloodbath. Pavón is good, but can't do it all by himself.
