Even with Rodney pitching, Dbacks are 4th in FIP (24th last year). He'll eventually be cut after a gradual reduction in responsibility. Losing Shelby will hurt, but Dbacks should still have a top-5ish staff going forward.

Speaking of bullpens, that CWS pen is one of the most stacked I've seen in a while

Barves might have got Conforto out there if they used the standard Conforto shift.

Your move, Judge

After 1,757 career games, Victor "Speedy" Martinez found his second wind and collected his first base-hit bunt.

Can someone more edumacated than me tell me what the literal **** is wrong with the Cubs' starters? All of them, even Lester.

Arietta off the juice, Lester is a head case who lost his personal catcher, Hendricks has no velocity and needs perfect control which he hasn't found yet and the other guys are bums.

Has Lester thrown to first yet this year? The only reason to watch him.

Pitch officially canned by Fox, bit melodramatic at times but I enjoyed it

Real answer: variance

2016 xFIP: 3.76
2017 xFIP: 3.81

Yet their ERA is almost a run and a half higher this year.

That and Brett Anderson sucks.

Lackey has been getting old for about 7 years now, Lester for 3-4 too. Many championship teams have had multiple "too old" starters, though.

Don't disagree, I expected them both to crash this year or next
