Don't think many people will argue with you there. Early though and I'm sure the Harper love will carry him over the edge if it's close in 6 months time.

Lots more to come from Bird as well.

I think we will go hard to replace Headley with Machado which will be a super sick upgrade given what he showed he'll do in the batter friendly Bronx again tonight. Not sure if we go similarly hard for Harper as well, may depend on how our own young guys continue to progress. If we don't we will have a lot of money available for a stud pitcher. I'd maybe wait and look to get Kershaw opt out in 2019.
Yea forgot Elsbury in the list of ******ed contracts that were awful the minute they were signed and who need to go. Big hit tonight though but never sign guys to contracts like that ever again

Dementia might be setting in for Francona. These lineups have been insanely awful for a while now.

mid 20s is fine.arods second contract was bad but his original one with texas was good. the rangers were just complete morons who didn't understand this isn't basketball so having the best/second best player in baseball doesn't make you a contender and dumped him paying half of it.

Do any of you guys know where I could find out what the average starting pitching line is vs specific teams?

Obv its easy to find the pitching stats as a whole vs teams, but for example I would like to know that the average starter vs the Phillies pitches 7 innings and gives up 3 runs and vs the Red Sox an average starter gives up 4.5 runs in 5.2 or whatever.

I'm sure you want something easier but you can just look at a team's vs. starting and vs. relievers totals and do a little math.

I think he's a candidate for MOTY

Not as awesome as Dave Roberts though, who I'm pretty sure uses a 10-sided die to determine lineups

I think Judge might qualify for ROY this year. I don't think he exceeded rookie limits last year.

Jose Abreu thought it prudent to homer before the month is out. Team is doing well in spite of the fact that Abreu and Frazier have contributed very little.

Was a 118 at bat homerless drought going back to last season. His power outages frustrate me.
