That 1.3 bil number is so ridiculous. The Astros went for $680mil 6 years ago. When these local cable sports networks start going belly up because of all the cord cutters, Jeter and Jeb are going to get ****ed in the ass. On second thought full speed ahead Jeb! and Jeets.

Watching Thames do this makes Bonds' single-season record even more amazing to me. I mean, ****, Thames is putting up video game numbers and still needs to hit this well or better to beat Bonds' tater record (I'm oversimplifying the numbers by estimating he has 5 months to go after April). And nobody pitched to Bonds.

The Loria deal was a real sweetheart, didn't he essentially get paid to switch from Expos to Marlins, despite the nominal purchase price
