the success rate has gone up from 68% in 1990 to 73% this season and it probably needs to be higher give the risk/reward

Offense was low in the 80's, so small ball strategies made more sense.

I also think theres a better understanding now of the risk/reward ratio. There used to be guys who would run 45 times a year with a 65-70 percent success rate. Today, if you dont have an 80% rate, you generally just have a red light.

Yep, I want Rox and Twins, up to risk 50 on each.

Looks like +245 Twins and +165 Rockies is the vig free line?

Agreed. I'd been happier getting Minnesota but I just want to gamble. Terrible price though.

Also, Minnesota sucks. Giving +245 may be insane, but if there was ever a time, its Severino + best bullpen ever (fresh) vs the Twinkies. Yankees wont even give up a run tonight.

Really, I think I'm cheering for the Yanks anyways. I can't remember a year with this many elite or near-elite teams and I want the wildcard results to add to that. I want epic clashes between monster rosters, not some tired Cinderella narrative for one team that's clearly not as good as the others. AL Beast represent.

Yep, definitely would rather see the Yanks through for that reason. And slightly more intrigued by the Dbacks than Colorado.
